Where to Go for Some of the Best Desserts Around Austin

Desserts – whether it’s after a meal or just because, they can really make or break your day. Now that may sound extreme but think back to a moment where all you wanted was an amazing sweet treat, to find that it just wasn’t that good. We’ve certainly experienced it, and since then have gone out in search of some of the places for the best desserts around Austin. Here are some of our favorites.

Gourdough’s

If you’re looking for some amazing doughnuts – Gourdough’s doughnuts are truly some of the best around. They have more fillings and toppings than you can imagine. In a few words – soft, decadent, and delicious. 

Bananarchy

Bananarchy is the only place to get frozen bananas. They have excellent signatures, but you can of course create your own banana concoction – even those not too fond of bananas may find themselves enjoying these!

Churro Co.

Churro Co. is a little food truck with some delicious churros. There are tons of options, including seasonal specialties  – all made from scratch. They guarantee you won’t have had churros quite like these before.

Tiny Pies

Not only are these the cutest pies you’ll ever see – Tiny Pies also make some of the best. They have a massive selection of signature, seasonal, and savory pies to satisfy any craving. And because they’re so small you can try a bunch!

Mozart’s

A classically Austin café, Mozart’s has some excellent desserts. Opera cake, tiramisu, tortes, tarts, and so much more. Even better – all of it pairs beautifully with their house-roasted coffee. While having your desserts and drinks you can enjoy a gorgeous patio overlooking the lake.

Swedish Hill

If you’re looking for classic patisserie, Swedish Hill is the place to go. They have everything from croissants and macarons to tarts and eclairs. They’re all made in house, and they might just change your life.

Sprinkles

Sprinkles is a cute little shop specializing in all things cupcake. They have tons of different flavors, including “pupcakes,” so your furry friend can have some too! And if you find yourself needing a cupcake in the middle of the night don’t fret – they have a cupcake ATM that runs 24 hours a day.

Jeffrey’s

These desserts are just a lil’ bit extra (we couldn’t resist). After a lovely French meal, enjoy a soufflé so incredible, you won’t mind waiting 20 minutes. They have some other amazing classics and a mind-blowing chocolatey dessert for all the chocolate lovers out there.
