New 64-Acre Entertainment Center Turns Austin Hill Country Into a “Dreamland”

Designed with the adventurous Austinite in mind, Dreamland features illuminated pickleball courts, a 54-hole mini golf course, and lawn games like cornhole and disc golf near the beer garden. But the culturally inclined will gravitate toward the stunning visual art, murals, and sculptures expertly placed throughout the grounds. The cherry on top, though? Two intimate central stages, where artists from all genres will saturate the lineup.

Though Dreamland will open this Friday, February 5th, the official grand opening weekend is March 12th – 13th. Bob Schneider with Kalu (James) and the Electric Joint will play March 12th and Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis will take the stage with Ray Prim to close out the weekend on March 13th. Grab tickets to save your spot!

The mini golf course is uniquely designed to be one of the most toughest courses on earth. The Challenge Course is $12 (adults) or $8 (kids) per 18-hole round; it has three increasingly difficult levels to make up 54 total rounds. To prepare yourself, you can see a breakdown of each hole on their website. The Dream Course is a shorter activity, and is $8 (adults) or $5 (kids) per round. And though these are pay-to-pay, Dreamland’s Texas-shaped putting green is free!

The beer garden is an expansive and magical oasis with plenty of food & drink options to explore. Browse over 90 self-pour beers on tap, which include 50 local beers, ciders, hard seltzers, and kombuchas, plus 40 central Texas wines. Tex-Mex and pizza make up the menu at the food trucks on site.

Safety measures in place include masks required indoors, social distancing, hand sanitization, and frequent cleaning of high-touch surfaces throughout Dreamland.

Dreamland works toward the goal of sustainability by catching rainwater with Austin’s own Richard’s Rainwater tanks — painted in gorgeous colors by nationally renowned artists — and using that water throughout the venue. Electric vehicle charging stations are available in the parking lot and makes use of solar energy. According to their website, “Dreamland hopes to always operate as close to carbon neutral as possible.”

Dreamland is located at 2770 W Hwy 290 in Dripping Springs, Texas, and opens this Friday, February 5th.
