Free Live Music in Austin This Summer: Blues on the Green, The Drop-in at Long Center

Two beloved outdoor concert series return to Austin this summer to uphold the best part of our city: free live music. Whether you’re more of a jazz & blues fan, or enjoy the rustic sounds of country & folk, Austin has a live music series you’re going to love. Enjoy Blues on the Green at Zilker Park for a taste of Austin history, or keep your ear to the ground for ticket drops to live music on The Long Center terrace. Free live music is so Austin that you have to make these outdoor concert series part of your summer bucket list.

Blues on the Green

June 18 – 19 @ Zilker Park

Blues on the Green takes over Zilker Park for its 31st anniversary this summer for two weekday dates only: June 18 – 19. Yes, that’s a Tuesday/Wednesday combo, and we’re honestly so here for it. Banish the workday blues away by getting down to live music on the lawn for this family-friendly and pet-friendly (duh) event. Grab your picnic blanket, your cooler, and your boo for an unforgettable evening.

The Drop-in

Every Thursday, May 25 – August 10 @ The Long Center for the Performing Arts

The Drop-in at the Long Center is a weekly outdoor concert series in partnership with ACL Radio and driven by Austin Subaru. Every Thursday, from May 25 – August 10, plus a few additional select dates, enjoy music on the Hartman Concert Lawn at The Long Center. Tickets to The Drop-in are free, but it comes with a catch: Long Center members will have first dibs on reservations, so become a member today! Otherwise, you can sign up for their RSVP updates to grab a ticket before they’re gone the Monday before each show. The Long Center and ACL Radio social media accounts will announce the artist performing for the week every Friday.
