On Sunday, March 27 from 2 to 5 p.m.Tarbell’s Wine Store, a boutique wine and spirits store curated by Celeb Chef Mark Tarbell, will host the 2022 Arizona Wine Growers Association Festival in partnership with azcentral and the Arizona Wine Growers Association. This celebrated event highlights top-performing wines in azcentral’s Governor’s Cup wine competition, and for the first time, will commemorate March as the newly-proclaimed “Arizona Wine Month.” Tickets for this festival are on sale now.

Tarbell’s Wine Store, owned and operated by an expert chef and renowned wine educator Mark Tarbell, will host the 2022 Arizona Wine Growers Association Festival in partnership with azcentral and the Arizona Wine Growers Association. The wine festival will take place at Tarbell’s Wine Store in the parking lot of Camelback East Village.

In collaboration with over 20 local vineyards, guests are invited to taste premium wines, indulge in complimentary gourmet food pairings catered by Tarbell’s, and enjoy live musical entertainment by Nate Nathan and the Mac Daddy-O’s. This festival celebrates March as the newly-proclaimed “Arizona Wine Month” and the award-winning wines of azcentral’s “The Governor’s Cup” competition— a contest for top local wines to compete for prominent rankings in a variety of different categories. Twenty total judges placed among a number of panels include local wine experts, sommeliers, expert chefs, and notable wine bar and shop owners. These expert judges blindly taste and score each wine and determine rankings within each category. Preceded by the announcement of these winners, the Arizona Wine Growers Association Festival celebrates the commencement of this contest with tastings of the best wines in the state!

A few of the participating local wineries at this event include Chateau Tumbleweed, Dos Cabezas WineWorks, Caduceus Cellars, Callaghan Vineyards, and many more. During the formative years of The Governor’s Cup competition, Tarbell’s Wine Store hosted the celebrated contest, and this year the festival will return as the second event hosted by the Tarbell’s Hospitality brand. The Wine Store hosts this event as a retailer committed to sourcing quality wine and supporting local wineries to showcase established and rising labels. Valet will be available for this event, although space is limited– rideshare is encouraged.
