Texas Wine Revolution Announces Inaugural Texas Wine Auction in Fredericksburg

Texas Wine Revolution (TWR), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is pleased to announce their inaugural Texas Wine Auction set to take place on Saturday, April 9, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Vista Oaks in Fredericksburg, Texas featuring an evening of live and silent auctions, music performances by The Powell Brothers, and culinary delights with wine pairings presented by Texas chefs and wineries.

The Texas Wine Auction was developed to bring together a collective of Texas wineries and winemakers to showcase the beauty of Texas-grown wine and raise money for some incredible organizations. All proceeds from the event will be filtered through TWR to go directly to beneficiaries: Hill Country Memorial Foundation and an endowment to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Viticulture & Fruit Lab.

2022’s featured winery, William Chris Wine Company (who produces 100% Texas-grown wines from William Chris Vineyards and Lost Draw Cellars) will showcase their wines alongside Arché Wines, Becker Vineyards, Brennan Vineyards, Calais Winery, Flat Creek Estate, Float Wines, Hawk’s Shadow Winery & Vineyards, Hidden Hangar, Kalasi Cellars, Reddy Vineyards, Texas Wine Collective, Westcave Cellars, and many more.

“This auction was formed to help benefit the community in which we live and to forward research and development in the Texas wine industry to help our fellow farmers,” says Chris Brundrett, President of Texas Wine Revolution and Co-Founder of William Chris Wine Company. “The last two years have hit our industry hard with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, so it’s important for us, as wine leaders, to do our part in helping. We look forward to bringing together the community for a give-back evening filled with an exciting chef-curated dinner and the finest wines in Texas.”

On Saturday, April 9, guests can expect silent and live auctions, live music performances by The Powell Brothers, and cuisine pairings provided by some of Texas’ most renowned chefs including Dallas-native and notable Bravo “Top Chef” alum Casey Thompson, Austin-based chefs Todd Duplechan of Lenoir and Shane Stark of Mongers Market + Kitchen, as well as chef John Washburne of Otto’s German Bistro and chef Michael Hall of Hill & Vine. Attendees will have the opportunity to join participating wineries on Friday night for special events, exclusive winemaker dinners, and tastings, all of which make for a perfect weekend trip to the Hill Country and are separately ticketed from Saturday’s events. Individual tickets are now on sale for $250; table sponsorships are also available. Please visit www.texaswineauction.com for more information.

“The opportunity to make an impact on the wine industry and community is what led me to Fredericksburg in late 2019. After two years of challenge, struggle, and success, I knew it was time to start giving back,” says Dave Bryant, Texas Wine Auction Co-Founder and 2022 Auction Chair. “The first annual Texas Wine Auction will be a staple event, featuring the best wines produced in Texas, unbelievable chefs from around the country, and a cause worth bidding for. I am excited to share that opportunity with you. Let’s make a difference, where we love to visit.”

Beneficiaries of the event include Hill Country Memorial Foundation, which will establish a medical mobile unit providing wellness services throughout the Hill Country for underserved populations including employees of restaurants, wineries, vineyards, and other hospitality personnel. In addition, an endowment to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Viticulture & Fruit Lab will help with research and development to further the Texas Wine industry.

Guests that attend will have nearby accommodations available including partner Stonewall Motor Lodge. In addition, the auction has arranged complimentary transportation pick-up points around Fredericksburg for ticket holders sponsored by Texas Wine Tours.
