As y’all already know, Austin is hot. And like hellishly hot once we reach into June, July, and god-forsaken August. You’re going to need to know a few pools off-hand where you can take a dip at any moment, especially when Barton Springs Pool books up for the summer. Luckily, some Austin hotels offer up their shimmering oases to anyone who purchases day passes, so even if you’re not a guest, you can take a swim at these Austin hotel pools this summer.
The Austin Motel
1220 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704
The Austin Motel pool is open on South Congress with plenty of activities for day and night swimmers. Daily pool passes are available in 3-hour blocks from 11 am – 5 pm daily from April through October for $25 on weekdays and $45 on weekends. Beverages will be served at the Pool Bar, including signature cocktails like the frozen Peach Bikini Martini, plus a selection of beer, wine + seltzer; open from 12 PM – 8pm daily. Neon Night Swims happen nightly from 5 pm – 10 pm, April through October, for FREE on weekdays and $25 on weekends, and there’s a magical Full Moon Night Swim once a month from 5 – 10 pm. Splash Dance is a poolside aerobics series happening every Sunday at 10 am, for $20. You can also join the Austin Motel Swim Club for unlimited swims all summer long.
Hotel Magdalena

Carpenter Hotel

Pool passes at the Carpenter Hotel are available in 4-hour blocks from 10 am – 2 pm or 3 pm – 7 pm on Monday – Thursday for $40, or you can get unlimited dips Monday through Thursday for $200. Sunbathers can enjoy a special Pool Menu from Carpenters Hall, featuring favorites from a Club Sammie and Chicharrones + Guacamole, to a full drink menu of cocktails, beer and wine, while the newly launched Carpenter Coffee Bar offers coffee and pastries by day and drinks and snacks by night, which can also be enjoyed poolside.
South Congress Hotel

This charming rooftop pool is a hidden gem on SoCo, boasting an Instagram-worthy aesthetic and plenty of sun. Daily pool passes on Monday through Thursday, 10 am – 5 pm, are going for $40 and it includes parking. Weekend passes from 10 am – 5 pm are going for $75. Best part: Café No Sé provides all the poolside eats, so you know it’s worth it.

W Austin WET Deck

Non-guests can get a taste of luxury Sundays and Fridays, 11 am – 6 pm, at W Austin’s outdoor pool, WET. Their Day Passes are $40 for all-day general admission, but you can also reserve a cabana, bungalow, or kasbah with up to 10 guests for $200-300 extra.

The Westin Austin

Situated 20 floors above 5th Street is Azul, a rooftop bar & lounge with a gorgeous, sunny pool that’s open to locals. With sweeping views of downtown, this is easily a top contender for the best rooftop bars with pools in Austin. Reserve two lounge chairs and swim access at the pool for $50 from 1 – 5 pm, or consider their afternoon cabana package for $300 for up to 6 people from 2 – 6 pm.
East Austin Hotel

Locals on the east side of 35 can indulge in the luxurious East Austin Hotel pool. Pool passes are $40 from 12 – 8 pm on Sunday – Thursday, 12 – 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, and parking is included. Poolside bites and drinks are available on-site.
Wax Myrtle’s

Chill out by the pool all night long with a $15 sunset pass to the rooftop pool at Wax Myrtle’s from 5 – 9 pm every day of the week! Cabana rentals are available daily from 11 am – 5 pm, starting at $100.
