There’s lots to do at Caddo Lake, one of the best weekend getaways near Austin. We just had to have a beach getaway, and typically warm year-round – Galveston is awesome. There’s a cute pier with rides, games, and restaurants. The beach is amazing, and Moody Gardens has glass pyramids of rainforests and aquariums, plus a massive museum!
