A trendy hotel located in the Campus District will host a free and open-to-the-public weekly summer movie series in Austin throughout June and July. Moxy Austin – University, the Campus District’s boutique hotel, is excited to announce that it will bring back its Pink Screen Summer Movie Series this summer. Every Thursday in June and July, guests are invited to BYOC (bring your own chair) to Moxy’s backyard patio for screenings of classic movies such as Freaky Friday (2003) and Pitch Perfect.

The event is free, open to the public, and dog friendly. Complimentary popcorn will be provided, and guests can also purchase tacos from Zombie Taco and cocktails/mocktails from Bar Moxy throughout the evening. Liquor partners will also attend each event, giving away free tastings and swag. In addition, the hotel (and partners) will give away prizes like brewery tours, gift cards, night stays, and more at each movie night (winners must be in attendance in order to win). Guests will also receive a sticker during this event that applies toward their growing collection – after earning five stickers from Moxy’s student collection, pop-up bars, or events, they will earn a free one-night stay at Moxy.

Right across from the UT campus, the 5-story Moxy Austin-University Hotel has the heart of a boutique hotel and an attitude that doesn’t always follow the rules. At check-in, guests are handed a complimentary cocktail with their key card at the bar. Moxy is also home to taco counter, Zombie Taco, that is open for late-night cravings. As a dog-friendly hotel, they have special treats to make them feel right at home too.
