Goodnight Ranch, a mixed-use neighborhood located in southeast Austin, announces its fifth annual Festival of Good. The family-friendly festival is free to attend and will take place on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the lawn in front of the community’s Amenity Center (5601 Baythorne Dr, Austin, TX 78747). Local vendors and nonprofits will bring a range of activities to the site, including live music, giveaways and food options.
“As we mark five years of the Festival of Good, we are reminded of the inspiration behind the festival: highlighting all the good within our Goodnight Ranch community,” said Myra Goepp, Vice President of Benchmark Development, the developer of Goodnight Ranch. “The festival has grown into an annual event that showcases our amazing local vendors and allows residents to connect with their neighbors by inviting them to explore the diversity of our region in one place. We can’t wait to see what the next five years will bring to the Festival of Good and the Goodnight Ranch community.”
Stony’s Pizza and Chi’Lantro will be selling food on-site. A mix of vendors from Goodnight Ranch residents and local businesses will provide activities for attendees, including a complimentary photo booth from the Photo Bus ATX’s old-fashioned VW van, a complimentary caramel apple station from The Cupcake Bar, a woodworking station, a petting zoo from Tiny Tails to You, and more. The festival is also supporting the work of area nonprofits showcasing animals from Save an Angel Rescue, a junior ranger program led by Austin Parks and Rec and an interactive experience about Edwards Aquifer.
The Austin Prairie Dogs will return to the stage as this year’s musical act and festival attendees will have the opportunity to enter giveaways to win a variety of prizes.
“As someone who values the power of community, I’m excited to see events like the Festival of Good available to our southeast Austin neighbors,” said Vanessa Fuentes, Austin City Council Member – District 2. “Gatherings like these strengthen the ties we hold to each other and the places we call home. I look forward to joining this event and celebrating all the ‘good’ things our community has to offer!”

About Goodnight Ranch
Goodnight Ranch is a mixed-use neighborhood set to transform a former dairy farm and family ranchland in southeast Austin into a vibrant, walkable, tree-lined urban hub. The 700-acre site is anticipated to fully mature over the next 7-10 years and is expected to include up to 6,308 homes; a mixed-use town center; three AISD schools; 730,000 square feet of retail space; more than 120 acres of open space; and landscaped streets designed to integrate a safe network of bike paths, trails and sidewalks. The first phase of the project, the north quadrant, is adjacent to Slaughter Lane and includes a mixture of yard homes and condominiums, senior living, multi-family, community parks, and Blazier Elementary and Intermediate School. Plans to develop the southside of the property are underway with the addition of more residential space, a new amenity center and greater focus on additional commercial sites.
