It’s starting to feel like fall, and that means a few things: cozy evenings, sweaters, and pumpkin patches. There’s nothing better for getting into the fall spirit than going to pumpkin patches in Austin, enjoying the corn mazes, taking a hayride, and then heading back home to carve pumpkins with friends. Here are some of our favorite pumpkin patches near Austin, Texas.
Barton Hill Farms
1115 FM 969, Bastrop, TX 78602
Barton Hill Farms near Austin, Texas is open every weekend from October 2 – November 6. Outside of getting to pick your own pumpkins straight from their pumpkin patch, there’s tons of things to do! Try your hand at their corn maze, play some games, and even grab some beer and kettle corn. It’s the perfect way to spend a day.
Texas Pumpkin Fest
10930 E Crystal Falls Pkwy, Leander, TX 78641
Texas Pumpkin Fest is open every day except Mondays from October 8 – 20, with different admission fees depending on when you go (Tuesdays are free!). Pick your pumpkins, let the kids enjoy pony rides and tractor rides, and eat some delicious food courtesy of several food trucks. There are tons of activities for the whole family to enjoy, including a Halloween party. Just remember to bring cash!
Sweet Berry Farm
1801 FM1980, Marble Falls, TX 78654
Sweet Berry Farm offers so many activities on over 60 acres of land, open September 17 – November 6. This pumpkin farm near Austin features three different mazes, pony rides, pumpkin painting, and more! When you’re all done having an amazing day, don’t forget to bring some pumpkins home to carve later.
The Robinson Family Farm
3780 White Owl Ln, Temple, TX 76501
A family-run farm with tons to do, the Robinson Family Farm near Austin is an awesome place to spend a day. The pumpkin patch is open weekends from September 17 – October 30. Out here, everyone can enjoy finding the perfect pumpkin, petting farm animals, taking a hayride, playing games, and even a Halloween party!
Crowe’s Nest Farm
10300 Taylor Ln, Manor, TX 78653
Of course you’ll want to come to Crowe’s Nest Farm for the pumpkins, but you can also enjoy a lot of other farm activities. Once you’ve finished up all the traditional pumpkin patch activities, head over to a cow milking demonstration, check out some animals, and enjoy homemade meals and baked goods. Join them for a raptor show, horse rides, hayrides, barrel train rides, live music, games, a snack bar, and so much more every weekend in October from 10 am – 5 pm.
Sweet Eats Fruit Farm
14400 E State Hwy 29, Georgetown, TX 78626
Sweet Eats Fruit Farm has excellent pumpkins in the fall (over 40 different varieties!), and if you’re looking for fresh fruit to pick in the summer this is also the place! Tickets are only required for the activities at this pumpkin farm, so if you’re only looking to pick pumpkins you can head over at any time. But, they’ve got some pretty sweet activities: 2 mazes, apple slingshotting, pony rides, live music, and lots of food.
