We are happy to see Arizonians getting vaccinated, bringing outdoor and in-person fun back safely and effectively. But we’ve also heard words in the street on how it’s still a bit difficult to get an appointment in. Well, here is another opportunity for you to get your vaccine in Phoenix — a free family event will be hosted at Chase Field on June 5th!
Get Vaccinated at Chase Field
The free family vaccine event goes from 3PM to 5PM, on Saturday, June 5th. The event is jointly hosted by AZ Diamondbacks, AZ Department of Health, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. The event uses Pfizer vaccine and will have both walk-in and appointment spots. Keep in mind that walk-in availabilities are first come, first serve. So it’s best if you make an online appointment , or call 844-542-8201 to make sure you will receive your vaccine.
Run the Base!
Of course, there are additional perks for those of you who decide to keep the community safe! Anyone age 12 or above will have the chance to run the base if they are vaccinated at the Chase Field event this week. Additionally, you may also win a free game ticket that covers yourself and a lucky guest for any D-backs game during the 2021 season Monday through Friday.
What Happens Next?
Don’t worry! The hosts have taken everything into consideration. After the free vaccine event on Saturday, you can come back to Chase Field on June 26 for your second shot. Because that’s how thorough and caring our awesome Arizona vaccine event hosts are. Again, make sure you make an appointment in advance to secure your spot. And don’t forget to bring your family, friends, and a solid camera to take pics of you being the vaccinated hero on the glorious field of AZ Diamondbacks!
Latest With Covid-19 in Arizona
Currently, Arizona has lifted the mask mandate as well as any capacity limit on businesses and events. However, many establishments have chosen to continue with asking for face covering, social distancing, and operate at a reduced capacity. As of May 31, over 45% of the residents have received at least one dosage of vaccine, and over 35% are fully vaccinated.
For Pfizer vaccines, the vaccination age is 12 or above. However, for the other vaccines, we’re looking at 16 or above. The appointments continue to fill quickly, so if you have trouble making it in via the online methods, try to directly call the vaccination appointment scheduling line over the phone.
Stay Safe and Open UP
Things are looking positive, and we are all thrilled for this year’s to come back. But for that to happen, we need to keep doing a good job. Get vaccinated, maintain social distancing, and even though the mask mandate has been lifted, we might as well keep wearing masks for a little longer.
