Arizona COVID-19 News: Vaccination Site Coming to Chandler in March

We are all ready to go back to having fun, staying healthy, and hugging our loved ones. Therefore, we were so excited to find out a new vaccination site is coming to Chandler and the East Valley area in March!

New Site at Chandler-Gilbert Community College

2626 E Pecos Rd, Chandler, AZ 85225

According to the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), a new Covid-19 vaccination site will come in place at the Chandler-Gilbert Community College by March 3.

The new CGCC will help accommodate individuals that were negatively impacted when the Maricopa County Vaccination Site closed. This new site in Chandler, Arizona will help provide COVID-19 vaccinations to residents of the East Valley. The anticipated capacity is 12,000 vaccines per day, operating tentatively from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Make a Covid-19 Vaccination Appointment

Appointments need to be made directly with the COVID-19 vaccination sites in Arizona. You can find the site list on the official Maricopa County website. From there, you can check the appointment availability of your chosen site.

Most state-run COVID-19 vaccination sites in Arizona accept appointments by phone, whereas some accept walk-in appointments. However, it’s still recommended to schedule in advance as state-run sites are hitting full capacity quickly.

Alternatively, Get Vaccinated At a CVS

Can’t get an appointment at one of the state-run sites? CVS has opened eight COVID-19 vaccination locations near Phoenix and other areas in Arizona that are designed to distribute vaccines to residents. You can make an appointment online or use their customer service number (800-746-7287). However, CVS doesn’t allow any walk-in appointments.

Reopening Phoenix

So, how are we doing with re-opening Phoenix? Right now, we are enforcing social distancing in all businesses and venues. However, most businesses in Phoenix, Arizona are operating normally with limited capacity to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

While we understand this situation may be slightly frustrating, by doing our part, we will return to normal and fun sooner instead of later. Meanwhile, check out our selected outdoor events that will help you battle covid fatigue.

We’re almost there!
