In honor of #womenshistorymonth, how is a dose of one incredible woman’s story with your cocktail today?! . The ‘Lass O’Gowrie’ is the namesake for this fantastic new addition to our menu. It was a poem written by the 18th century Scottish songwriter Lady Caroline Nairne. Her songs were widely consumed and enjoyed – though most of her work was published under a pseudonym or simply as “Unknown”. Even her husband was unaware of her prolific songwriting. Lady Nairne went to great lengths to conceal her true identity for fear that if people knew she was a woman, her songs would not be as popular. Her art went on to be celebrated, all while she watched from afar. . Here’s hoping this highly refreshing drink, anchored by Laphroaig 10 Year Scotch and Laird’s Applejack will be as beloved as some of Lady Nairne’s charming ballads. Green apple, bright citrus and maritime smoke layer this lovely cocktail. Let’s raise a glass together to great women and great stories!
