This Virtual Music Festival Happening In May Is Totally Free

For many people, spring usually means outdoor music festivals. Although most festivals have been canceled due to COVID-19 (like everything else), SOBER AF Entertainment is going virtual with their music festival happening May 7 – 10. The free virtual festival, called “S.AF.E,” has 20 artists lined up to perform with more expected to confirm. Some of the artists include Young Bombs, CADE, and Vegabonds. They have even made a Spotify playlist to help you get ready for the event.

While the festival is free, they are offering a raffle for electronics, future music festival tickets, and one trip around the world. The funds will help cover artist cost and then any left over will help support SOBER AF Entertainment.

They are also promoting audience participation with four contests you can join in on! There will be three winners for each contest, voted on by the attendees, with an award show to follow the final act. The first contest, “MEME,” asks for any meme you have created. The second, “Best To-Do Tips While Stuck At Home” is for any tips you have that have made it more fun to be at home! The third is a basic selfie contest, and the fourth is any photo you deem worthy (maybe save the gym selfies for another time). There will also be chat and video rooms that you can join during the event – so who knows who you might meet! It might be even better than Bumble right now.

Who is SOBER AF Entertainment?

They are a non-profit organization who provides ‘sober fun’ at events that are normally not sober (think sporting events, concerts, festivals, and more). They create a sober section at these events for people who are looking for the fun minus the alcohol – and their tagline reads “creating safe spaces in fun places”. This can provide a place for people in recovery or on a path to sobriety to enjoy their favorite band without feeling pressured to drink. They have hosted 50 events in the past year and a half with over 2,800 people participating.
