Someburros, a locally-owned and family-operated group of restaurants specializing in authentic and fast-casual Sonoran-style Mexican food is expanding from the East Valley to the West Valley. Set to open on July 16 in the Goodyear community, Someburros’ newest addition will be the first West Valley location. Someburros’ made-from-scratch menu items such as its famous burros or burritos, tacos, enchiladas, and other traditional Mexican favorites have been a Valley favorite for nearly four decades. Since Someburros opened its first location in Tempe, Ariz. in 1986, the company has expanded to 13 locations in the Phoenix area and Flagstaff.
What: The Goodyear and West Valley community is invited to be a part of the Someburros fiesta for the newest Valley location and enjoy live entertainment from a mariachi band, delicious made-from-scratch Mexican cuisine, an appearance by “Nacho” the burro mascot, and piñata prizes including Someburros gift cards! A mariachi band will be present on Saturday, July 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On grand opening weekend, the Someburros Goodyear dining room and drive-thru will be open for its tried-and-true breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items including crispy tacos, soft tacos, “traditional favorites” such as tostadas, enchiladas, taquitos, and quesadillas as well as healthy bowl options and salads, and of course, the famous burros or burritos that can be made enchilada, chimichanga, or fundido style. Each Someburros menu item is made from scratch with slow-cooked meats, fresh vegetables, homemade salsas, and handmade tortillas. Also available for dine-in or takeout, are Someburros’ popular frozen margaritas.
Dedicated to fast-casual, friendly service and quality, made-to-order food, Someburros accommodates walk-up orders, digital orders through the Someburros app and website, and most recently, drive-thru orders. Someburros Goodyear will feature drive-thru service for on-the-go customers who can opt to drive up, order, and pick up their meals without leaving the comfort of their cars. For dine-in options, the Goodyear location includes a 3,800 square-foot indoor dining area with counter service, comfortable seating, and a spacious two-sided outdoor patio.
Why: Someburros’ 36-year history in the Valley, heirloom family recipes, consistent and delicious food, and friendly guest experience is why the restaurant group has expanded from the East Valley to the West Valley. The community and Someburros’ devotees inspired the decision to expand in the West Valley and now the families, residents, and businesses of the Goodyear community will be the first in the West Valley to experience Someburros’ authentic, Sonoran-style Mexican cuisine and signature burros.
When: Saturday, July 16, and Sunday, July 17 from 9 a.m to 9 p.m.
Where: 50 N. Estrella Parkway Goodyear, AZ 85338 (Southwest corner of Van Buren Street and Estrella Parkway)
