This Labor Day, Skysill Rooftop Lounge, located on the hotel’s 18th floor, will host a special event on Monday, Sept. 5 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. featuring a DJ from noon-5 p.m., a 15% off discount for local Tempe residents with a valid ID or ASU ID, $5 Domestic Drafts, six Truly Hard Seltzers for $25 and a specialty BBQ menu. Standouts from the menu include the Sonoran Dog ($6), a bacon wrapped dog with caramelized onion, tomato, mustard, ketchup, mayo and topped with avocado crema; Southwest Bratwurst ($6), a Guinness bratwurst with peppers and onion and drizzled with chipotle aioli; and the Skysill Burger ($14) piled high with fresh-cut lettuce, tomato, red onion and Sky Sauce atop a brioche bun.
Guests can also toast to the hotel’s anniversary at Terra Tempe with the limited-time anniversary cocktail, The Desert Hare ($13), available Monday, Aug. 8 through Sunday, Aug. 14. This tequila-based cocktail is made with Espolon Blanco Tequila, lime juice, vanilla syrup, coconut milk and finished with an edible pansy.
