St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Family Faire
Phoenix is celebrating its 37th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Family Faire located downtown. It features marching bands, Irish step dancers, bagpipes, floats and more. The parade starts at 10 am on the streets of 3rd and Sheridan and runs south to Willetta street. It follows up with performances at Margaret T. Hance Park.
St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at the Irish Cultural Center
This full weekend event celebrates the Irish holiday in all of the traditional ways with Celtic music, dancing, family activities and more. On the kickoff day of March 14th, there will be a tea ceremony and a social dance for families as part of the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Ceili. There is also a Genealogy Centre located at the Irish Cultural Center and at the McClelland Library to learn more about your Irish heritage.
Experience Ireland at MIM
“Experience Ireland” at the Musical Instrument Museum in North Phoenix is a great way for families to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Activities include dancing to Irish music, learning the Irish fiddle, crafts, curator talks, photo booths, face painting, and more. The event is held on the 14th and 15th of March from 9 am to 5 pm.
St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Show: Boondocks Improv
Dearing Acting Studio in Phoenix is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a family-friendly Irish comedy improv show. It will be hosted by Shea Toepel and feature improv troupe Chaos Comedy. Expect audience-inspired comedy and long-form performances. The closing act will be Boondocks Improv. Tickets are still available.
Kiss Me, I’m Irish Run
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by participating in the 10th annual Kiss Me, I’m Irish Run in Glendale. There is a half marathon, an 8k run/walk, or a 4k run/walk to choose from for any level of endurance. Festivities include a post-race party with live music and a costume contest. On the 13th, they will also be hosting a Kilt Run to support the American Cancer Society. A kilt will be provided if you don’t have one and a medal is also given for finishing the run.
The Wigwam’s Shamrock Shindy
The Shamrock Shindy St. Patrick’s Day Event will be held at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park from 5 pm to 8 pm on March 14th. Live music will be performed by the Fabulous Keen Brothers. You can also enjoy Irish food, green beer, games, and other activities. Proceeds will be going to benefit Arizona Assistance in Healthcare.
St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in Fountain Hills
Fountain Hills, Arizona, is home to one of the world’s largest fountains. It was built in 1979 and on March 14th, 2020, the fountain that reaches 560 feet in the air will be turning green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as it does annually. It is located at Fountain Park and is one of the greatest spectacles to witness on St. Patrick’s Day.
