You can get the taste of fall now in many varieties. Some may prefer to seek out the pumpkin spice latte of their dreams, but many others look to the flavors of cider to bring out their inner autumn lover. Be it something classically apple or a hard cider that’s made with very different fruits, you can find some refreshing cider libations all over Tucson and Oro Valley. Local Tucson area bars feature some of the best ciders you can find — and we did the finding for you.
Hop Street Lounge
7215 E 22nd St #101, Tucson, AZ 85710
What a local bar needs is a little something delicious on draft that can surprise people. Hop Street Lounge does exactly that. Their two ciders on tap include Arcadia Grove’s Citrus Series Valencia Orange, a delectable “cidermosa” that combines the flavors of apple, orange, and lemon to create a powerful taste that is perfect for either summer or fall. The bar also features Ace Pineapple, the very first of its kind in the cider world! Like the name suggests, you can also find a good number of IPAs and the like to quench your other beer-driven thirsts.
Bawker Bawker Cider House
400 N 4th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705
To this day, the first and only cider house on all of historic Fourth Avenue is Bawker Bawker, so named because the owner loves chickens enough to speak their language — or at least try! The cider brewery here churns out concoctions like the Horchata Slushie Cider, the Passionfruit Rose, their classic Apple Cider (made available to go), and even a pepper-based drink called Reaper of the Soul. Their lineup includes these and other ciders, helping Bawker Bawker truly live up to the name “Cider House.”
Bison Witches Bar & Deli
326 N 4th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705
Things like Shacksbury’s rosé cider are what make life so delicious. Bison Witches knows that to be true, and that’s why they bring that and other tasty beverages to the table. Be it Woodchuck or a raspberry or pear cider from Wyder’s, there’s something to enjoy here with the deli sandwiches and bread bowl soups made here. Whatever you’d like to eat, there’s a variety on the food menu, same as the drink menu!
Craft, A Modern Drinkery
4603 E Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85712

Short Rest Tavern
4500 N Oracle Rd #253, Tucson, AZ 85705
You can’t deny that it’s more fun to enjoy your cider, mead, or ale in the company of your adventure party. In Short Rest Tavern, that just comes with the territory. Themed after tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons, the experience in Short Rest is built around having fun with your friends with one of their 600-plus board games or by bringing your own. Located inside Tucson’s number-one gaming store, Games and Gadgets, there’s no better place to sit down with ciders like Cider Corps’ Mango Foxtrot or Schilling’s Chaider, the premium combination of fall flavors like chai tea and apple cider.
