The Black community in the Valley is robust, diverse, and filled with many people who believe in perpetuating that spirit of business with their own ideas. As we celebrate Black History Month, we decided to show you some of our most loved Black-owned businesses in the Valley!

Boasting the creative cuisine skills of pitmaster Phil Johnson, a.k.a. “Phil the Grill,” this smokehouse offers a unique twist on several classics in the barbecue milieu. You can also find some of Phil’s own creations like the meat-topped “Phil-Em-Up” Fries.
