Top 8 Fun Restaurants to Attend in Central Arizona

Summer is for fun, vacay, and friends’ date night. But while regular spots are good, some nights we just feel like doing something different. Fortunately, this place is never short of cool dining spots. Check out these 8 fun restaurants in central Arizona, each with its unique perks that keep people coming back.

Pa’La

2107 N 24th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008

Do you know what they say? Everyone has a pyromania inside them. That’s why you should go to Pa’La and watch how the is food fired up in the old-school wood oven.

We highly recommend you to try the sandwiches and pizzas at this restaurant in Arizona. They use the highest-quality ingredients, so honestly, everything is good. If you want to treat yourself to something fancier, try one of their seafood dishes — and you will find the woodfire taste lingering in your mouth!

Chilte Tacos

Valleywide

Chilte Tacos is a roving food truck popping up across the valley. You can use their website to find out where they will be. We highly recommend you try their rotating noshable hand-held tacos or their quesa birria! This new-concept Mexican street food truck also features hand-pressed squid-ink tortilla, barbacoa, duck, as well as vegan options.

American Way Market

1509 N Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225

The American Way Market is no doubt the best neighborhood BBQ restaurant in central Arizona. We love the briskets and pastrami. Actually, we love everything at this place from the vibe, the setup to the food and the people. If you’re dining light, they also have fresh salads and soup for you to choose from. Like many locals said: this place is pure gold!

They also have live music from time to time and is neighbor to a huge antique store.

Switch Restaurant

Switch has all-day happy hours Tuesday thru Thursday from 2-6pm. Now, if that’s not what we call generosity! They also have different daily deals throughout the week. One of our favorite things to do on summer days is munching on their house-made pork rinds with a beer after work. Speaking of chill summer vibes, right?

The Collins Small Batch Kitchen

3160 E Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85016

Collins is cute. The design, the vibe, the tiny food portions, and the arrangement that comes with it… Nothing else said. It’s super cute. Illegally cute. That’s it.

But at the same time, they are perfect for those of us with a small appetite. This restaurant in Phoenix, AZ is known for its social hour. The social hour features 2 or 4 dollar bites accompanied by a hand-crafted cocktail. The Collins is bringing the true neighborhood dining experience out with its casual yet elegant style.

Nook Kitchen

4231 E Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018

Part of the fun of going out is people watching. And there is nowhere better to do that than Nook Kitchen. Heads up, it might be loud. But isn’t that how bars are supposed to be? Everyone having a good time, making new friends for the night, and returns to each other’s daily life the next day.

Southern Rail

300 W Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85013

American classics with a southern twist — this one sentence explains to you what you can expect from Southern Rail. The fun part of going there is you get the real feeling of what a “restaurant in the hood” looks like. This restaurant in central Arizona features a barn-like interior, big windows, and plenty of natural light.

Personally, we love their eggplant dip and signature fried chicken. Many of their items also have gluten-free/vegetarian variations. Simply ask your server for other options.

Organ Stop Pizza

As always! We save the best for the last. Any long-time valley residents have heard of Organ Stop Pizza, where you enjoy live music played from the mighty Wurlitzer Organ! The live performance here is at a whole new level, and you must see it at least once in your lifetime.

Their food is brilliant, but the biggest hook for us is the ice cream and the salad bar. You just can’t beat a classic soft-serve sundae on a hot summer night after dinner, or go with a root-beer float and chill by the bar.
