You’re probably itching for a holiday cocktail right about now. Us, too. It’s been a while, right? Longer than a year for most of us, unless you got creative at home. However, now that we’re able to enjoy some of the best things about Phoenix, how about we point you to the Christmas pop-up bars coming to the Valley this year? Our gift to you thirsty people out there.
Miracle Bar
Floor 13 Rooftop Bar, 15 E Monroe St, Phoenix, AZ 85004
Miracle Bar started as a single phenomenon in New York City, and it’s since become a widespread sensation. In fact, Miracle Bar became the very first Christmas-themed pop-up bar in the Phoenix area as of 2018, and it’s still going strong this year, too. Visit for a special 90-minute experience with food and beverage minimums of $50, which are well worth it considering the hilarious cocktails like “Bad Santa” or the “Yippie Ki Yay Mother F***er!”
Feliz Navidad Cantina
Salt and Lime Modern Mexican Grill, 9397 E Shea Blvd Ste. 115, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
The owner of Salt and Lime, a Mexican eatery in Scottsdale, put on a beautiful, festive display for the happiest time of the year. Check out the transformation into Feliz Navidad Cantina, a place where happy hour (featuring $8 chimis and roasted chicken jalapeño poppers) lasts all day, and where there’s plenty of salt and tequila to go around. What are you waiting for? Get something to celebrate the Navidad season today!
FROSTY’S Pop-Up Bar
Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails, 2 East Jefferson St, Phoenix, Arizona 85004
Chicago’s own FROSTY’S Christmas pop-up is setting foot in Phoenix, where they are taking over at Blue Hound in CityScape. Be prepared to enjoy drinks like Santa’s Little Helper, made with vodka and elderflower liqueur, while soaking in the holiday music and decorated atmosphere. Maybe even stay for some Christmas-themed tapas while you’re at it!
Phoenix Christkindlmarkt
Treffpunkt, 14325 N 79th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85260
This pop-up market isn’t just dedicated to one bar experience; in fact, there’s a lot to explore and enjoy at the Christkindlmarkt, which is hosted at the German-American Community Center Treffpunkt on December 4th and 5th of this year. From bratwurst and potato pancakes, Lebkuchen and sauerkraut, there’s a lot of sensational food to partake in. After you’ve done that, treat yourself to a warm cup of Glühwein (that’s mulled wine, you probably know it well).
Sippin’ Santa
Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour, 1 W Jefferson St, Phoenix, AZ 85003
Partnered with the Miracle Bar experience is Sippin’ Santa, a tiki take on the Christmas tradition. This holiday pop-up takes over this year at Bitter & Twisted, replacing the craft mixology culture with rum, tiki-themed trappings, decorated palm trees, and more rum. Visits to this bar are limited to two hours at a time for fairness of the experience, and while no reservations are taken, you can add yourself to the online waitlist on Yelp to save time before getting your chance at drinks like the Kris Kringle Colada or the titular drink, the Sippin’ Santa.
Luminarias Holiday Market
Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows, 6114 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85253
On the night of December 10th, check out tons of Arizona foods, goods, and more at yet another pop-up market, the Luminarias. Light food and drink options are made available at the Weft & Warp Bar + Kitchen as part of this open-air market, completing the Christmas pop-up bars experience for anyone attending the free event and looking to shop or eat local!
