2022 Oktoberfest Events Around Phoenix

The beer scene in the Valley is one thing; our love for well-seasoned meats is another. Now, think about how Phoenix is a hub where people from all over the world gather. Put those things together, and you get a real passion for things like Oktoberfest. In fact, you’ll find events that really dedicate themselves to the spirit of the event, with traditional games and festivities as well as those with their own spin on the celebration. The main things to remember are beer and merriment — and some delectable German food, of course. The events in the area listed below are keeping those things in mind!

Oct 1: Downtown Chandler Oktoberfest 2022

Dr. A.J. Chandler Park, 3 S Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225

Put on by the beloved local San Tan and Pedal Haus breweries, this event features a bit of all the things that make Oktoberfest great. You’ll experience delectable German fare, sample local beers, and try out plenty of fun games hosted by Downtown Chandler. You can enjoy some “desert polka” at the beginning of this eight-hour party. By the end of it, you will have the chance to cheer someone on as they compete to fill their bellies with brats. Is there anything more “Oktoberfest” than that?

Dates TBD: Oktoberfest at Edelweiss Biergarten

2625 E Bell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032

Something that never gets forgotten at Edelweiss Biergarten is the authenticity of their German and Hungarian cuisine. They also never forget that Oktoberfest is a huge way to spread the love of German food and fun, with imported drafts and high-quality Wienerschnitzel that you would only expect to see back in Europe. Being treated to accordion music and classic old-world dishes will make you believe you’re in Germany year-round, but check back with them later this month for more details on this year’s celebration, where there’s certain to be more fun, food, and hospitality to go around.

Oct 15: ASH Octoberfest

Kiwanis Park, 5500 S Mill Ave, Tempe, AZ 85283

Just like their illustrious Spring Fest events, ASH (the Arizona Society of Homebrewers) puts on a great party to celebrate their efforts for Oktoberfest as well. The many people who put their love and passion for beer into a product they’ve made get to show it off at this event, which is taking place at Kiwanis Park next month. If you’re curious and interested to try some homebrewed concoctions by people who really know beer, what better time to do that than the evening of October 15th?

Oct 1: Oktoberfest at Brat Haus

3622 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251

This scratch-kitchen-slash-beer-garden features 28 craft beers on tap, and their dedication to a menu inspired by European fare means they’ll be bringing their best brats out to play — made your way. It also features Belgian-style fries, Bavarian pretzels, and even some plant-based sausages for those afraid to venture into the usual Oktoberfest dishes. While Brat Haus is typically dog-friendly, you should be aware that their Oktoberfest will be no place for pups, so please leave them at home when enjoying yourself responsibly at Brat Haus on the first of October!
