Jennifer‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Garner Discloses the Reason Behind Her Kids Calling Her “Fully Cringe”

Jennifer Garner knows very well how she is regarded at home—and she is doing it.
The Alias actress revealed that her three children—Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 13, whom she has with ex-husband Ben Affleck—sometimes consider her “fully cringe,” especially when it comes to her acting work.
On Feb. 18, Jennifer Garner appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show together with her The Last Thing He Told Me co-stars Angourie Rice, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Judy Greer. There, the actress laughed about asking her kids if they were going to watch the new season of her Apple TV+ series.
“I am only embarrassing,” she teased. The 53-year-old actress added, “I asked my children if they were going to watch this season of the show, and they said, ‘Do you want us to?’”
Jennifer, who is playing the character of Hannah Hall in the TV series based on Laura Dave’s 2021 novel, said that she didn’t take their reaction personally. She pointed out that in general, kids don’t really want to see their parents in emotional or romantic scenes.
However, she joked that starring alongside popular actors like Judy Greer and Game of Thrones celebrity Nikolaj Coster-Waldau might be her saving grace—her children may very well find her less embarrassing after ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌all.

Jennifer‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Garner Thanks Her Co-Stars For Giving Her “Cool Points” And Remembers A Funny “Mom Fail”

Jennifer Garner is motivated to renovate her image at home, and she’s giving credit to her The Last Thing He Told Me co-stars for helping her.
“Angourie [Rice] gives me cool points,” she said explaining the situation during her interview with The Jennifer Hudson Show.
Besides that, she thanked Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who, according to her, is a big Game of Thrones fan through her son, Samuel.
“And my kids all love Aunt Judy [Greer]. I am managing with the help of my friends,” she said candidly.
The Secret Life of a 13 Going on 30 star hasn’t been afraid of sharing the less glamorous side of her parenting with the world. With a boyfriend John Miller, in 2022 she narrated a comedic “mom fail” which was about an email she sent to her kids’ sports coach.
“One weekend, I sent an email to a coach, kind of jokingly, saying about my kid, ‘Well, this one is getting totally beaten this weekend’,” she revealed on The Late Late Show with James Corden. “So, what does that mean for tomorrow morning because we have something planned? What does that mean typically? I thought I was being ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌funny.”

Jennifer Garner was having a “mom fail” type of moment with her kids’ sports coach when things went from bad to worse after she found out that she had, by mistake, sent her message to all the parents in the group.
“I think it’s the only time in my life that I used the reply-all,” she said jokingly. “I sent the mail to everyone on the team.”
Now that Garner and her former husband Ben Affleck—who got their divorce finalized in 2018—are co-parenting they are willing to provide their kids with freedom to explore their own ways.
“Living a public life puts certain expectations on your kids and it’s definitely not easy,” Affleck shared with E! News on Jan.13. “We truly want to give them the freedom to pursue their own interests. They are wonderful, lovely, and brilliant kids. We love them, we’re proud of them, and we just hope that they will not waste their lives in front of a ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌camera.”
