Speaking about the wives and girlfriends of Formula 1 drivers, that emotional element alone is capable of spawning a culture or subculture. At first, the word “WAG” a term that was coined 20 years ago when the wives and girlfriends of English soccer players got most of the media attention and later spread to other sports has changed quite a bit from the days when Victoria Beckham was a Spice Girl and since she took up fashion, by fully embracing the label.
Besides, the very famous Netflix docuseries *F1: Drive to Survive* rekindled the fans’ interest in the characters behind Formula One and since then the focus on the drivers’ romantic relationships has gone even higher.

Kelly Piquet, the model, has been in the cheering section of the Belgian-born Dutch driver since 2020. Following the British driver’s split with Nicole Scherzinger, he was reportedly seeing Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Rihanna but he always denied dating anyone, saying that only winning races was his focus.
However, Lewis and Kim Kardashian love affair speculations have been intensified by the two of them going to Paris, Tokyo, Malibu, New York, and other places together.
Lewis has admitted that relationships can be “complicated, ” telling France’s RTBF in July 2025, “I see other drivers and I wonder how they manage it. Some have children, are married, have girlfriends.”

On the other side, Alex who is a driver at Williams Racing confessed to *Golfweek* in 2021: “I was just watching a lot of YouTube videos and golf on TV, then I followed her.”
Recently Lily showed off her engagement ring in a post dated January 16 and her fiancé dropped a comment, “Well it looks like we are always gonna be together.”
