Dip your adventurous taste buds into the Battle of Al Pastor Shawarma ($38) that feeds two to three guests and features Donner-style flame-broiled pork Shawarma, bacon and achiote marinade, house tzatziki, spicy red sauce, pita bread, and seasoned fries. The Italian Daughter is celebrating a festive Christmas Eve tradition, Feast of the Seven Fishes. In true Italian fashion, The Italian Daughter will serve thoughtfully-curated courses featuring seafood on La Vigilia including lobster bisque ($15), baccala fritters ($14), and clams oreganata ($20) for starters. They will also offer specialty seafood entrees including seven fishes cioppino ($50), jumbo shrimp Francese and lobster ravioli ($36), and lobster and Crab Fra Diavolo ($42). The Italian Daughter will open on Christmas Eve at 1 p.m. and close at 9 p.m. and close on Christmas Day.
Someburros

This fast-casual, Sonoran-style Mexican restaurant brings the Flavor of Familia to a new level. Familia is the number one thing that makes Christmas so special and tamales are a symbol of family and togetherness during the holidays. Order a dozen (or a few dozen) of Someburros’ authentic tamales for a Christmas gathering by contacting one of their 12 Arizona locations and choose from red chili beef or green chili tamales ($39 per dozen). These delicious tamales platters are crafted with housemade corn masa and can also be ordered ahead of time through the Someburros app or website and must be picked up before Christmas Day. On Christmas Eve, the dining room will be open until 2 p.m. and tamales/holiday platter pickups will go through 6 p.m. Somburros will be closed on Christmas Day.
The Sicilian Butcher

To complete any holiday lunch or dinner, legendary specialties will be featured on the Christmas Eve and Day menu including lemon prawns ($38), veal chop Saltimbocca ($46), and Lamb Osso Bucco ($46). Tomaso’s dining room will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tarbell’s

Tarbell’s has prepared divine to-go Christmas meals for $125 per person that includes one entree, a plethora of sides, and a choice of two desserts. Each prepared package includes a choice of one entree and the options are a prime rib, Arizona honey glazed ham, and a roasted organic salmon with crusted pecan and maple glaze. The featured Christmas sides include an organic field greens salad with roasted butternut squash and pumpkin seeds, haricot verts with shallots and sweet butter, crispy brussels sprout casserole with caramelized onions and bacon, maple glazed organic carrots, mushroom risotto with Crow’s Dairy chevre, and fine herbs, herb-roasted red bliss potato, buttery mashed potatoes, and house-made aged cheddar biscuits. The desserts included in the takeout package are chocolate peppermint mousse, Emma’s Buche de Noel, and double chocolate chip cookies. The last day to place an order will be December 17th, and catered orders may be picked up at Tarbell’s on Christmas Eve.
