With the holidays right around the corner, it’s time to start planning your Christmas meals! Whether your family is in town or you are too busy with last-minute shopping to cook, here are some of our favorite restaurants in Phoenix and catering options to spread Christmas cheer onto your table!

Hash Kitchen

4315 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ

Too much eggnog the night before? Try the Hangover Hash ($19)! Made with slow chile-braised beef, jalepeño cornbread, potato hash, and topped with mozzarella cheese, poached eggs, fried onion rings, and demi hollandaise, you will be fueled for shopping until Christmas Eve dinner. In the mood for a little hair of the reindeer? Try Hash Kitchen’s Original build-your-own Bloody Mary bar ($14). With over 50 custom craft toppings to choose from, you will have more customization options than Santa’s elves. Hash Kitchen is open on Christmas Eve from 7 am to 3 pm and will be closed on Christmas day.

The Sicilian Baker

Stocking up on holiday treats? The Sicilian Baker offers authentic Italian sweets that will be sure to put any grinch into a festive mood. From lobster tails made with buttery flaky dough to authentic Italian wedding cookies, you’ll be able to provide enough sweets for Santa while still having some leftovers for dessert. The Sicilian Baker is also offering a limited edition holiday menu featuring gingerbread lobster tails ($9), cuccidati cookies ($2.50 each), and a white chocolate peppermint filling available in their famous build-your-own cannoli bar ($6) from November 18 through December 31! The Sicilian Baker is open from 11:00 am to 10:30 pm on Christmas Eve and is closed on Christmas day.

The Sicilian Butcher

Although some may say that there’s no place like home for the holidays, The Sicilian Butcher is a close second. Influenced by Italian culture, treat your family and friends to warm and cozy Italian food and family platters filling enough for all of your extended relatives. The Sicilian in Strada ($16 per person/4 person min) is a signature family favorite. Served on a 5-foot board, sample Sicilian staples such as arancini, creamy polenta, Tomaso’s meatballs, artisanal cured meats and cheeses, bruschetta, olives, pickled condiments, and jams. For some extra festive cheer try out the Meatball Ferris Wheel ($28). This dish with 6 pre-selected meatballs and sauce combinations served in a rotating Ferris Wheel will have you believe that the Christmas magic really is in the food. The Mexicano

Keep Christmas warm and cozy and try something new with The Mexicano’s Birria Ramen ($24)! This chef’s specialty spices up traditional ramen, with chile-braised beef, birria consommé, and salsa macha. It is then garnished with a six-minute egg and garnished with cilantro, radish, and green onion. The holidays are a perfect opportunity to experience new cultures and traditions, so what better way than to try out a new soup! There are also shareable family-style meals like the three-foot-long machetes or quesadillas ($28-$36) that come in variations like queso and chicken tinga and the sizzling molcajetes which are served on hot lava stone bowls with Mexican rice, pinto bean refrito, and warm tortillas and come in choices like shrimp and short rib ($36-$40). The Italian Daughter

Keeping things traditional this year? So is The Italian Daughter! From December 18 to 24, The Italian Daughter will be serving the Feast of the 7 Fishes. The Feast of the 7 Fishes is a meal served on La Vigilia, Christmas Eve, in which no meat is consumed. In true Italian fashion, course after course of luxurious seafood is served. The 7 fishes represent the 7 sacraments in the Catholic Church. Regardless of religious symbolism though, for most people, it is a wonderful time to gather with friends and family around the table to enjoy life, love and a delicious meal. Starters for the feast range from $15 to $22 and entrees range from $34 to $54. There are many different ways you can enjoy The Feast of the 7 Fishes so enjoy their open doors all the way through Christmas Eve. The Italian Daughter will be closed on Christmas Day.

Tomaso’s

3225 E. Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ

Get in the holiday spirit with Tomaso’s exclusive holiday menu! With 8 appetizers, 6 handcrafted pastas, and 6 legendary specialties to choose from, there’s enough Christmas spirit to go around the whole family. Indulge in fresh spaghetti with scallops and shrimp ($29) if you’re a seafood lover or the seafood medley cioppino ($42). Or challenge the veal scaloppine ($36) to brighten your holidays. Either way, you are in for a treat with Tomaso’s! Enjoy their holiday menu on Christmas Eve from 3 pm to 9 pm or Christmas Day from 11 am to 9 pm.

Zinqué

4712 N. Goldwater Blvd. Ste. 110, Scottsdale, AZ

Last minute Christmas shopping? Stop at Zinqué to fuel your shopping spree! The French-inspired cafe, bistro, and wine bar have posh eats like the signature tartines or open-faced French sandwiches, and Le Bowl ($16) made with brown rice, avocado, tomato, arugula, French comté cheese, parmesan, Sriracha mayo, and a protein choice for an additional charge like ahi tuna, grilled salmon, and hanger steak. Because it’s the start of the holiday weekend, cheers with their classic spritz like the Aperol Spritz ($14) that pairs with the luxury shopping available at Scottsdale Fashion Square. Their extensive wine and craft cocktail menu will be sure to get you in the holiday spirit, and since they are open until 11 pm on weekdays and 12 am on weekends regardless of holiday hours their delicacies will be available to you no matter your holiday plans!

Someburros 

101 E. Baseline Road, Tempe, AZ

Someburros is the perfect place to get time-tested, authentic Sonoran-style Mexican food catered for the holidays! They have plenty of to-go platter options available, including their Fiesta Platter ($53) which includes 40 mini Mexican dishes (10 red chili beef, 10 green chili beef, 10 bean mini chimis), 5 beef, and 5 chicken taquitos! It also includes a large bag of chips, a pint of their signature hot sauce, and a half pint of guacamole, perfect for sharing with your loved ones. If you are getting a to-go platter for Christmas Eve, make sure to pick up your platter before 6:00 p.m. They also have the option of self-service catering ($13.95 per person with a 15-person minimum) or full-service catering ($22.95 per person with a 50-person minimum) which includes 2 entrees (one of each per guest), rice and beans, chips, guacamole, sour cream, hot sauce, veggie salsa, plates, utensils, and napkins! Both catering options have a notice minimum and fill up fast during the holidays, so make sure you get your catering order at least 24 hours in advance to ensure the location can fulfill the order!
