Tapas Papa Frita

Established in 1990, award-winning chef Joseph Guttierez brings authentic Spanish cuisine to the valley. Not only do you get delicious food at this Spanish restaurant, but you also get a show. Known for their flamenco shows, they’ve also won over locals with their authentic tapas and paella. Not to mention the sangria, a recipe passed down from the Salesian Monks.
Fuego Bistro
401 W Clarendon Phoenix
What used to be tucked in a small courtyard in the heart of North Phoenix, Fuego Bistro was born when a husband and wife decided to quit their jobs waiting tables at a local steakhouse and open up their own business. They received the award of “Best Latin American Restaurant” by Phoenix New Times and are the highest-rated restaurant in Phoenix on the Rewards Network. You can try everything from paella to soup to prawns. No matter what you’re craving, Fuego Bistro’s extensive menu will have you leaving full and happy. Though they closed due to COVID-19, you can check them out at their new location in August at The Clarendon.
Talavera

Talavera, a Spanish restaurant located inside the Four Seasons resort in Scottsdale, focuses on both traditional and modern takes on Spanish classics. They focus on prime cuts of meat, seafood and veggie tapas, and paella. Don’t forget to pick up some of their homemade churros to complete your Spanish feast.
Prado
4949 East Lincoln Drive, Scottsdale
Found inside the Omni at Montelucia, Prado offers Spanish-influenced fare made for the American palate. Using the flavors and heritage of the Spanish Andalusian region, their menu includes seafood paella, short rib, assorted tapas, and seared scallops. While currently closed, you can expect this restaurant to open back up as hotels do!
Sofrita
16848 E Ave of the Fountains, Fountain Hills
In Fountain Hills, you can find Sofrita, a Spanish restaurant near you that prides itself on celebrating life and food. Restaurateur Carolyn Redendo opened the doors of Sofrita in 2010 which earned her the title of “Fountain Hills Business Person of the Year” in 2011. The tapas steal the show here, with over 10 different options to choose from. If you’re looking for something hardier, give the pork pernil a chance.
