You can’t enjoy your Cinco without trying a specialty Cinco de Mayo cocktail. How about going to Cien Agaves, the tequila hotspot of Phoenix, to get what they call the Jicama Spring Fusion? Complete with orange, lemon, agave nectar, jicama, and Cazadores tequila, this beverage will only be available from May 5th to Mother’s Day. This establishment celebrates Thirsty Thursdays — and since Cinco falls on a Thursday this year, you’re in for a number of intriguing and flavorful beverages! Latino chef Rich Hinojosa of CRUjiente Tacos has created award-winning tacos that are sure to satisfy all your Cinco de Mayo cravings. Enjoy happy hour this year on Cinco de Mayo from 4 to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close and toast to the holiday with the restaurant’s famous Premier CRU Margaritas for $8 (all day!) and Modelo and Tecate beer for $3.50, along with $1 off all the restaurant’s famous crunchy tacos! All day long, CRU will also be hosting a special with a dollar off all other margaritas, cocktails, beer, and wine.
Valle Luna

Who wants a party on a patio? How about live music with Sonoran cuisine? We know just the place! Valle Luna is having a Cinco de Mayo bash with live music from Jason “Gordo” Gordon. The party starts at 3 p.m., and Gordo plays for four hours, starting at 5:30. Along with some award-winning Sonoran food, you’ll have your pick of handcrafted margaritas, Mexican and specialty beers, and a special Happy Hour appetizer menu from 3 to 7:30!
Ocho Rios Jerk Spot

This one’s a little different for a very good reason — Ocho Rios is a Jamaican restaurant, with authentic recipes like jerk chicken. However, they are doing something for Cinco de Mayo anyway, sporting jerk chicken and jerk shrimp tacos as well as $7 shots of Patron and tequila, and a dollar off your beer. If you are looking for something different to shake up your Cinco experience, give Ocho a try. This jerk spot really knows how to celebrate!
The Mexicano

Phoenix’s hottest new restaurant will be celebrating its first Cinco de Mayo in proper fashion with its very own three-day event in the restaurant’s parking lot starting on Thursday, May 5, and ending on Saturday, May 7. This celebration will feature top-notch eats including tacos, burritos, churros, gelato, margaritas at the Don Julio booth, and beer at the Modelo booth. Guests will be given food, drink and game tickets upon purchase of admission to use at the Cinco de Mayo Festival at The Mexicano. If waiting to be seated at the restaurant, guests are encouraged to join in on the fun at the outside event. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Childhelp, an organization dedicated to aiding victims of child abuse and neglect.
