About Piestewa Peak
Piestewa Peak has some of the absolute best Phoenix views. The hike is manageable (some trails easier than others) but yet challenging. Sunrise and sunset from this mountain will take your breath away, giving you expansive views of the Phoenix metro, Camelback mountain, and the twinkling lights of the city. The trail is used often so it is safe to go alone or with a group! The mountain is named after the first known Native American woman to die in combat in the U.S. military so the name has incredible significance. There is parking at the base for easy access to the trailhead sunup to sundown!
