About North Mountain & Shaw Butte Trails
The North Mountain & Shaw Butte Trails are some of the most scenic in all of Phoenix. There are multiple summits of varying difficulties and distances, and leashed dogs are welcomed! In addition, there is a visitors center which most other parks do not have. There are hosted activities and nature programs that you can sign up for online and at the visitor center. Hikes vary in distance from as little as 0.3 miles with mostly paved roads to a 4 mile climb that will challenge you. Have a mountain bike? This trail is great for that too!
