Alhambra

What you need to know

The diverse urban village of Alhambra is located on the outskirts of downtown Phoenix. Christown-Spectrum Mall, named after the Chris family who once owned a farm on the same land, serves as the core of the village. Alhambra is known for its southwestern culture and has the highest population of Mexican and Native American people of any neighborhood in the country. This culturally rich community contains many large early- to mid-20th century residences, along with newer, single-family, ranch-style homes. Alhambra offers a rich nightlife scene, part of the 7th Street Golden Mile Corridor that runs down 7th Street from Bethany Home Road to Camelback Road. In addition, the historic urban village conveniently provides numerous light rail and city bus stops within its boundaries.
