About The Japanese Friendship Garden
The Japanese Friendship Garden is truly an oasis in the middle of a city. It is 3.5 acres of lush grasses, a 12-foot waterfall, lanterns, and more. It also features a tea garden and a tea house. The garden is a beautiful, restful space where you can take a breath of fresh air, escape the city, read a book on a bench, or just look at any of the 300 brightly-colored Koi fish. Technically speaking, the name is RoHoEn, which reflects the relationship between Phoenix and their sister city, Himeji, Japan. Admission is just $10, but note that the garden does not allow loud noises, pets, or straying off the walking paths.
