The reality TV star was found dead in Phuket as authorities ruled out signs of foul play.

The British television celebrity and former boyfriend of Vicky Pattison was discovered dead in a drainage canal in Phuket, Thailand, on Saturday.

Wright, who is originally from Basildon in Essex, was discovered in the drainage ditch by a Burmese man who was working in the area and later notified the authorities.

He was reportedly filmed walking back and forth outside a hotel before he was discovered dead at 12:30 p.m. local time.

The celebrity, who moved to Thailand just weeks ago, is most popular for his appearances in seasons 22 and 23 of ITV’s *The Only Way Is Essex* in 2018.

The authorities later arrived at the scene of the incident near Bang Tao Beach and later confirmed that there were no signs of physical assault or struggle.

Investigation Details Surrounding the Death of Jordan Wright

The authorities have reviewed the hotel’s video recordings and the belongings of the victim as part of the investigation in Phuket, Thailand.

The new iPhone 17 of Jordan Wright was allegedly left on the bank where the victim’s body was discovered.

A hotel key card from Hotel COCO Phuket Bangtao was reportedly found in the victim’s possession, prompting authorities to review CCTV footage and collect information from hotel staff.

Staff told police that the victim had checked in alone and was scheduled to check out on March 13, one day before his body was discovered.

Love Island star Chloe Crowhurst also posted a tribute, saying: “Rest in peace Jord” with a white heart and cloud emoji.

Prior to the public announcement of Wright’s death, an FCDO spokesperson stated: “We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Thailand and are in contact with the local authorities.”

The TOWIE star, who returned to firefighting after reality TV, was found dead in Thailand.

In 2023, Jordan Wright revealed he had been “hugely unfulfilled” by reality television and chose to return to his former career as a fireman.

Local Police Chief Sutthirak Chuthong confirmed that the body discovered in Phuket belonged to a British citizen. He explained: “The victim stayed at a hotel, and the hotel was unable to contact the victim. A search of the room revealed no signs of forced entry or other irregularities.”

Lieutenant Colonel Thongchai Matitham added: “At around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, a worker from Myanmar harvesting morning glory vegetables came across the body and alerted the police station.”

Police release information on the TOWIE star’s belongings and movements before his death.

Lieutenant Colonel **Thongchai Matitham** said: “There was an iPhone 17 found on the bank nearby, and it had not fallen in the water.

“Later, we found a key card belonging to the COCO Hotel in his pocket, which helped us identify him as Jordan Wright. There were no other valuables on the deceased, and he was not wearing shoes.”

Matitham added: “From the CCTV camera, we saw that he looked restless and moved back and forth in front of the hotel before he left the area.”
