However, soon, allegations started making the round that contestants were forced to film in extreme temperatures in bare-minimum clothing.
Moreover, reports also suggested that many participants fainted due to exhaustion and were carried out on stretchers. Eliminated contestants even alleged that the network was being biased towards the popular contestants. However, Netflix and Studio Lambert rebutted all these allegations.
Fans Feel The Squid Game Reality Show Episodes Are Too Long
Now that the reality show has finally dropped on Netflix, fans have mixed reactions towards the show. The premise, filming, and execution are near-perfect when compared to the original show it was inspired from. However, some viewers stated that the participants’ display of emotions was too exaggerated while others felt it was way too serious for a reality show. For example, Player 299, who chose the Umbrella shape for the Dalgona game, was showcased as a dramatic and emotional death on the show. However, on social media, this scene was both mocked and sympathized with by viewers.
