Offset thanks his fans after returning to the stage following his shooting.

Offset, the 34-year-old rapper and father of six kids, including three with his estranged wife Cardi B, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram titled ‘REAL LOVE’ with a few pictures of him at the University of Arkansas’s Rowfest, and the crowd cheering loudly for him. This was a triumphant comeback to performing just days after he was shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood casino in Florida.
The shooting took place a little after 7 p.m. local time on Monday, April 6, when Offset suffered “non-life-threatening injuries.” He was quickly taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where he got the necessary medical attention. On Friday, a representative confirmed to PEOPLE that Offset was out of the hospital.
“We are really thankful to the doctors, nurses, and entire hospital team who took great care of him, ” said the spokesperson, emphasizing the support and care he received during his recovery period.
However, Offset, even in this traumatic experience, showed his strong will to perform and interact with his fans as he was seen taking his first steps to the stage in a wheelchair before standing up to perform and engage the fans, singing the famous song by Migos “Bad and Boujee”. His spirit and fight have been appreciated widely, motivating not only fans but also fellow artists.

Seminole Police say the shooting incident involving Offset was a result of a fight; Lil Tjay was arrested, but he denies involvement.

According to the Seminole Police Department, the shooting incident involving Offset is said to have resulted from ‘an affray, or fight.’ Rapper Lil Tjay (Tione Jayden Merritt) has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, but was released on bond from Broward County Jail. Another person detained at the scene has not been charged at this time.
Lil Tjay’s attorney, Dawn Florio, refuted the allegation of her client being involved in the shooting, and she posted on Instagram, “Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false.”
The probe into the event is still on as officials are trying to find out all the individuals involved.
