4 Tips for Making the Most From a Trip to Vegas

Nearly 40 million people visit Las Vegas each year, and that’s no accident. This is a city that is designed with tourists in mind, making it an exceptionally fun place to take a trip.

With that said, while Las Vegas is very much set up for you to have a good time, the city can also be a little overwhelming for first-time visitors. A little bit of knowledge can go a long way towards not only making sure that your trip is smooth, but also that you get as much from your time in the city as possible.

If you’ve got a trip to Sin City on the horizon, then keep the following tips in mind — they might just help to turn a good trip into a great one.

Stay at a Hotel On the Strip

There are places to stay all over Las Vegas, but if it’s your first time, then there’s only one place you’ll want to be: The Strip. This four-mile-long boulevard is where the vast majority of the places you’ll visit are located, and staying anywhere other than here simply means that you’ll spend a large chunk of your time — and your budget — taking taxis everywhere. If you can, stay at a hotel around the midway part of the Strip, which will put you pretty much in the perfect position to enjoy the city.

Embrace the Nighttime Entertainment

Las Vegas is a true 24/7 city. Many first-time visitors spend the whole day exploring, only to be too tired to do anything once the evening rolls in, but that’s when most of the fun is just starting! It’s recommended to relax by the hotel pool during the day, then venture out once the sun goes down. You’ll be able to find a show, nightclub, or naked strip club near me Vegas wherever you are on the Strip, and since you’ve spent all day relaxing, you’ll have plenty of energy to enjoy them to the max. Even if you spend most of your trip exploring during the day, you should absolutely experience Vegas at night at least once.

Practice Your Casino-Game Skills

Las Vegas is a casino town, as everyone knows, so there’s every chance you’ll spend some time in those establishments even if you’re not normally a gambler. It’s a Vegas rite of passage.

Yet, while Vegas casinos are welcoming, you still need to know how to play. Brushing up on your blackjack/roulette/whatever game you like playing before traveling will ensure you’re ready for action once you hit the tables. Just be sure to give yourself a strict limit on how you can afford to spend (/lose) so that your travel budget stays intact!

Take a Ride

You won’t need a car to get around Vegas, but it can be worthwhile renting one so that you can easily visit the great attractions located near Vegas. Red Rock Canyon is just a 20-minute ride away, while the otherworldly Valley of Fire State Park is just an hour away.
