Mighty‍‌‍‍‌ Ducks Actor Shaun Weiss Offers Ned’s Declassified Alum a Helping Hand as He Struggles with ‍‌‍‍‌Homelessness

Shaun‍‌‍‍‌ Weiss Offers Detox Bed and Treatment Help to Former Child Star Tylor Chase

Shaun Weiss, who was in the movie Mighty Ducks, is revealing the truth and going out to help a former child actor Tylor Chase who has gained fame through the TV show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide and is now homeless.

On Monday, Dec. 22, Weiss who among the 1992 film and its two sequels portrayed goalie Greg Goldberg posted on Instagram about “many messages” of Chase and that he has made a move already.

“I had a talk with some friends and we can offer him a bed at a detox and we have a home for him to get long-term treatment.”, 47-year-old Weiss said, disclosing Chase’s supposed location and requesting fans to get in touch with him if they can be of any help.

“Please DM me so that we can provide help to him in time for the holiday,” he posted and captioned the photo, “We have a bed for him at a ‍‌‍‍‌detox.”

Shaun‍‌‍‍‌ Weiss Speaks from Experience as He Tries to Help Tylor Chase

Shaun Weiss’ decision to assist Tylor Chase is an empathetic one.

He is transforming his past hardships into a source of strength in his efforts to assist Tylor Chase. The former Mighty Ducks star has been transparent about his period of homelessness and addiction. On the April episode of Pod Meets World, he admitted that his recovery was helped “a tremendous amount of support from people” who valued him both as an individual and as a former child actor.

Chase, now 36, is known primarily for his role as the chatty Martin Qwerly on the Nickelodeon show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, which ran from 2004 to 2007.

Weiss’ gesture of communication is after the release of the September episode of Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide wherein Chase’s ex-costars Daniel Curtis Lee, Devon Werkheiser, and Lindsey Shaw spoke about the situation as they addressed the videos “circulating on the internet” of their friend “going through some stuff.”

“We’re all members of the Ned’s family trying to come to terms with the reality of seeing him,” Werkheiser, 34, stated then. “How can we help? What can we ‍‌‍‍‌do?”

Ned’s‍‌‍‍‌ Declassified Cast Desire “Safe, Structured, Supportive” Help for Tylor Chase

Since the news of Tylor Chase’s troubling situation became known, a few shorts of the former Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide star have been popping up on the internet, leading his colleagues to keep updating the fans about him.

Daniel Curtis Lee, 34, took to Instagram on Monday to reveal that he had been in talks with a financial advisor about a trust for Chase, which he highlighted by saying that he is keen to offer support “the right way — safe, structured, and supportive.”
Devon Werkheiser told TMZ that it is heartbreaking to watch a person in such a state and described that people who have “gone through the worst of addiction and suffered deeply from mental health problems know it is an extremely difficult situation when the person refuses help.” He said he wished people would not keep releasing videos of Chase and he expressed hope that “someone who is really knowledgeable and has the means can intervene, get Tylor into the treatment phase and lead him back to the right ‍‌‍‍‌path.”

Daniel‍‌‍‍‌ Curtis Lee Provides an Update After Talking Directly with Tylor Chase

Daniel Curtis Lee expressed on Monday that he had “just got off a call” with Tylor Chase and that the ex-child star was “really excited” to learn that people have been inspired by him.

Lee detailed that Chase’s mother has given the advice not to send him direct money, but he is considering the idea of a trust that would be dependent on Chase finishing rehab. “He’s on my heart and on my mind quite often,” Lee told.

“The community has really come out in such an overwhelming way,” he said. “Like I mentioned, I don’t agree with the way some of you guys are handling the videos and stuff like that. But if it’s true love and genuine love and support, man, I really think we can get him back on his ‍‌‍‍‌feet.”
