While the feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has drawn the attention of many celebrities, Taylor Swift is said to have become one of the most involved parties following the fallout.

According to insiders at the Daily Mail, the superstar’s relationship with her longtime friend Blake Lively has ended due to the backlash, and Taylor has cut all ties with her and her two daughters.

“She loved the girls, and it’s very heartbreaking for her,” the source stated. “But she had no choice given the circumstances.

‍It was one of the toughest decisions of her life. She had finally made up her mind months back to end every communication with Blake after talking it over with her new husband, Travis. ‍ ‌‍ ‍‌

They added, “There was no contract stating that Taylor was their godmother. It was just an unspoken agreement between Taylor and Blake.”

During the time she shared with Taylor, the Lively-Reynolds family spent a lot of time with her. Taylor would visit them, for instance, at their big home in Rhode Island, join them in the fun of trick-or-treating, and she used to put the girls to songs in her ‍music.

For instance, she used James’ baby voice for the chorus of her song “Gorgeous.” She also featured the names of the three Lively children, James, Inez, and Betty, in her 2020 album, “Folklore.”

Moreover, in the middle of 2024, one of the Grammy winner’s godkids’ parents made a fun comment about Ryan Reynolds and his Deadpool character promoting Taylor’s “Eras Tour” after the conception of her child in the movie.

“Give credit to Ryan Reynolds or his Deadpool, because I’m not telling this to ‍them.” At the same time, Reynolds confirmed this statement during an interview with Deadline, joking that he will be using it on his gravestone.

“I’m going to need that on my gravestone, actually. She is the godparent to my daughters. That was very sweet. Not just sweet, that was- you could probably quantify a box office based on Taylor just doing something like that.”

During the “Eras Tour” in Spain’s capital, Madrid, Taylor made sure to acknowledge the three Lively children in May 2024 as she performed in front of a large audience.

“I have to say that on Folklore, some of my favorite characters are named James, Inez and Betty. (And they’re all in the front row.)” She said as the girls, along with their mother, cheered.

However, insiders say such displays of affection may be a thing of the past following Taylor’s reported rift with Blake.

Taylor Swift Reportedly Hopes To Rekindle Relationship With Blake’s Children

Despite the pain caused by the fallout with Blake, Taylor is said to be hoping that her relationship with her daughters will improve.

“She’s having the time of her life now that she is married, her family is great, her career is great, and she’s looking forward to the future,” an insider revealed. “The only thing that is causing trouble in her life is Blake’s kids and not having the relationship she would like to have with them as their godmother.”

They added, “Taylor doesn’t think that it’s fair to everyone, especially the kids, to put them in the middle of such drama if they have no relationship with their parents. She thinks the best thing to do is to cut all ties and not be involved in their lives.”
