Tara Reid Says She Was Drugged at a Chicago Hotel Bar
Tara Reid made a police report with the Rosemont Public Safety Department that she was drugged at the DoubleTree in Rosemont, Ill. while attending a celebrity signing. She states that she ordered a glass of white wine and a man came up to her and told her he was a successful influencer. Upon going outside to smoke a cigarette with him, she saw a napkin on her drink and “the last thing I remember was a couple sitting down next to them.”
“The next thing I recall was waking up in a hospital around 8 hours or more later not knowing where I was or what had happened,” Reid mentions in the report. “I totally blacked out and have no memory of anything.” Reid, 50, says her agent took her from the hospital after her release and that she has been trying to report the incident to the police since it happened but she didn’t know how to do it from Los Angeles.
Reid Says Man Sent Videos, Seemed to Threaten — “I am willing to prosecute”
Tara Reid says the man with whom she stepped outside later sent her videos via text and insinuated that he could stop them from being shared – a message that she understood as an attempt to extort her. He also told her that she had called security and that she had only had one drink, Reid stating. “I am willing to prosecute,” she told the police.
Rosemont Public Safety Department Lieutenant Joseph Balogh told Page Six that officers responded to an EMS call at 12:39 a.m. Sunday. “After the arrival of paramedics on the scene, police officers who are on duty and trained in medical intervention assisted them in the care of the patient who was sick,” Balogh said. He also said the patient was taken to a hospital in the area and no more reports were filed that day.

Officer Tara Reid was met by the police on Tuesday and her online report was submitted. Detective Division Rosemont received the online report at 4:26 p.m. Lt. Joseph Balogh said in his statement. He also said that detectives are working with DoubleTree hotel staff to get the video recording and “are very much engaged in this case and want to see it through.”
The representative of Reid informed Page Six that she “has made a police report consequent to an incident in which she believes her drink was tampered with” and is “cooperating fully with the investigation.” The rep said that Reid “is recuperating and requests privacy while going through this tragic period” and advised others to “take care, keep an eye on your drinks, and do not leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone.”
Doctors told Reid that she was “drugged,” but she described the tests as “vague.”
During an interview with TMZ, Tara Reid mentioned that the hospital personnel refused to conduct a blood-alcohol test and instead informed her in a very direct manner, “You got drugged last night at the bar.” She recounted being told that a test had been done to determine the substance, but she did not seek clarification. “They just said that you were drugged. That’s what they said,” Reid recounted to the publication, referring to the local scene as “all kind of vague. Like it was all blurry. … I can’t even explain it because I don’t even know what happened.”
