Quinton Aaron’s Family Unveil Positive Update After Spinal Stroke
Quinton Aaron, a film star most recognized for The Blind Side, is on the road to recovery after a spinal stroke. February 6, his family shared a hopeful update saying, “Quinton is in a jovial mood, now laughing and smiling and is communicating to the best of his ability while he continues to recover.”
They said that besides watching television and getting ready to support his favorite team this weekend, he is doing quite well.
The 41-year-old actor’s spouse Margarita had revealed to TMZ that he was admitted to the hospital and put on life support after he fell at home on January 26. His family has been grateful for the tremendous amount of love and support that has been coming from the public during this difficult time.

A statement from Quinton Aaron’s family, which was obtained by People and TMZ, on January 29, was their reaction to the public concern over the actor’s health. In it, they conveyed their appreciation for the “overwhelming love, support and prayers” from the fans, the general public, and their community.
As to his health, the family relayed that, “He had a spinal stroke. He is alert, aware and recovering.”
The family assured that they will update fans as Aaron who played Michael Oher in the 2009 movie The Blind Side, from his recovery stage. “The Aaron family has a lot to deal with for the betterment of their loved one,” the statement added, “but they will be sure to keep everyone posted regarding Quinton’s health as we see fit.”
They also cautioned not to believe any quotes on Aaron’s health that do not come from the immediate family.
Quinton Aaron Family Ask For Privacy Amid Discrepancies
The family of Quinton Aaron has appealed to the public to respect their privacy and to be careful about the misinformation about their son’s condition that is circulating.
“We very politely ask everyone to respect our decisions,” they said. “We ask everyone to please understand that there might be false information or statements made by people who keep coming forward but who are not fully informed or aware of all the facts of his condition and who, moreover, are not authorized to do so.”
When news broke that Aaron was in the hospital, Jae Head, Aaron’s co-star from Blind Side who played S.J. Tuohy, showed his support for Aaron. Jae shared on January 26 on Instagram, “I got a call yesterday that Qunton is in the ICU of the hospital because he passed out at home and is now in pretty bad shape. Q is one of the most gracious guys I have ever had the opportunity to meet. He is one of my best friends. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.” The message was accompanied by funny snapshots of the two celebrities.
