This picture shows the happy family of five in a field, with George being in the middle of his parents while Kate is holding Charlotte and Louis. When posted on their official Instagram account on 29 April, the caption was just, “Celebrating 15 years of marriage, ” with a red heart emoji.
On this anniversary, the couple took a moment to reflect on their relationship since their 2011 wedding at Westminster Abbey. Over the course of nearly twenty years together, William and Kate have been there for each other through the happiness of raising their children as well as the difficulties of living under the gaze of the whole world. Their strong connection was made public when Kate was diagnosed with cancer in early 2024, a time when the pair supported each other while she was undergoing treatment and healing.

When she publicly announced her illness in March 2024, the Princess of Wales mentioned, “Having William alongside me is a huge comfort and source of reassurance.”
William also opened up about that heavy time especially since his father Charles, the King, was diagnosed with cancer in the same year. Looking back at those times he said that 2024 was “the most difficult year” in his life and through the family’s shared suffering, they have built their strength.
Thanks to treatments that worked, she was declared cancer free at the beginning of 2025. Kate is more aware of the blessings surrounding her now and has given her family and nature the credit for the healing she has experienced. On her 44th birthday, she also wrote a lovely note about nature.

Kate Middleton has opened up about her healing journey with a heartfelt poem about the power of nature to calm and restore us. In new footage released on January 9, the Princess of Wales revealed how she has changed through hardship.
“Winter, even in its coldest and darkest moments, somehow manages to gift us with stillness, patience and quiet contemplation, ” Kate remarked in a voiceover accompanied by tranquil, snow-covered scenery. “Where the water is so still that the reflection of our faces can be clearly seen, in fact, it can be said that through the reflection we come to know ourselves on to our very deepest level, together with the sound of the wind, the whisper of flowers and the beating of the heart of every living thing.”
Kate closed the emotional video with a beautiful thank you for the life she has been given, “I find myself mulling over how fortunate I am in every way. Deep down, we all know the waters within us ebb and flow naturally. It is through wiping of tears, being at peace, along with a better understanding of what it means to live that a most amazing cleansing and purification take place. Eventually, we are reunited with nature, a quiet and gentle voice, a soft and loving voice, a little forgotten voice that leads us on in the process of healing.”

On Feb. 1, Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson to Crown Prince Haakon, was arrested by Oslo police on the allegations of assault, threats with a knife, and breaking a restraining order amongst others.
The young man aged 29, who is not a royal member and has no official royal engagements, has been detained for a period of four weeks on the grounds of suspicion of possible reoffending. They are thought about making a move to overturn the ruling, said his lawyer Petar Sekulic.
Moreover, he is going to be in court on 3 Feb to answer to a different set of charges. These include allegations that he committed four rapes from 2018 to 2024, two acts of violence against a partner, and possibly breaking a restraining order, according to the indictment.
The legal counsel confirmed that he has denied all accusations of sexual offenses and most of the charges related to violence.
