You are most likely going to get, \u201cit\u2019s raining, have you seen it???\u201d from at least four different people as if they\u2019ve never seen a single drop of rain prior to this point of their life \u2014 that\u2019s because the precipitation rate is so low in Arizona that the mere phenomenon of rain is worth celebration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2030 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/phoenix\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/shutterstock_793483306-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p5\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Its_Like_A_Stephen_King_Movie\"><\/span><span class=\"s1\">It\u2019s Like A Stephen King Movie<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Don\u2019t expect too much social life in Phoenix. We are not saying there aren\u2019t any <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/phoenix\/best-cocktails-bars-in-phoenix\/\">awesome bars<\/a> to chill at, or there are zero activities (though, to be fair, there definitely aren&#8217;t any right now, due to the pandemic). However, it is definitely a lot different from other metropolitan cities in the States. Tempe is where you\u2019d most likely get a good kick outta social life during the day. Otherwise, just get used to the barren streets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2031 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/urbanmatter.com\/phoenix\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/shutterstock_337245230-1024x631.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"631\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p5\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Speeding_At_A_Whole_New_Level\"><\/span><span class=\"s1\">Speeding At A Whole New Level<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Individuals that are moving to Phoenix, Arizona will need to become accustomed with the fast driving habits of local residents on the freeways.\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">They are not aggressive drivers. They have simply been driving in a fashion that would have been considered extremely aggressive by people from other areas their whole life. If you see a car going up to 100mph simply to change lanes on the freeway, just remind yourself to breathe. We recommend bringing a long-sleeve jacket along with you wherever you go to stay warm. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">Not only all buildings blast their AC to the fullest possible extent, when you are walking from 110-degree outside weather into a fully air-conditioned room, the temperature drop feels even sharper because of the contrast.
