Michelle Pfeiffer Shares Delightful News: She is a Grandmother!

Michelle Pfeiffer Reveals She’s a Grandmother

One of the most significant changes in the life of Michelle Pfeiffer is that she is now a grandmother, quite excited about it.
The actress from the movie Grease 2, 67, talked about her first-time grandmother status from the previous year – a point that has changed her concentration and with which she had so much more to say – during the SmartLess podcast recorded on Sept. 29.
“I don’t have time or the need to dig so deep for such a long time and still not be here,” Michelle said. “I figured out that I don’t have an unlimited amount of time left and—I might even say here that I became a grandmother last year.”

A New Role Michelle Cherishes Most

Among the options, mother Michelle Pfeiffer has not clarified if her daughter Claudia, 32, or son John, 31, with whom she is married to David E. Kelley, has a new baby. The actress, however, confesses that she has been quite secretive about the news.
“I have been very silent about it and it is lovely. It’s absurd,” she said, along with the realization that she had not expected to take on the grandmother role anytime soon – but it is the one she most likes.

Balancing Work and Family

While thinking about her packed schedule, the Hairspray actress confessed that her new position has changed her viewpoint. “If I had known that a grandmother I was going to be, I wouldn’t have taken on so much,” said Pfeiffer – who, according to IMDb, is the mother of four projects. “But I have had a great time with all of them and I am very thankful. I love each of these projects.”
Family is not the only time that it has affected her career decisions. Several years before, Michelle changed her work program with Claudia, her daughter, and John, her son, as the main concern and gave up the time with them during their childhood for the sake of time.

Family First

Long ago Michelle Pfeiffer was very explicit that family is the most important thing and family life is bigger than her career. While she reminisced her parenting years in 2017 an Interview feature, she stated: “I am an empty nester now. I have never lost my love for acting. I feel very comfortable on the movie set. I am a more balanced person, if I am honest, when I’m working. Nevertheless, I was quite cautious about the place where I was shooting and the length of my absence, whether or not it was compatible with the kids’ schedule.”
Her choosing came with corresponding limitations. As Michelle confessed, “I was so selective that I ended up not being able to get any job.”
