Friends Cast Unites to Honor Matthew Perry with Charity Art Project
Matthew Perry’s Friends cast members are still celebrating his life a couple of years after he has passed away.
On Friday, Dec. 12, the Matthew Perry Foundation posted on Instagram a series of pictures showing Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow each signing a set of abstract paintings that will be utilized to generate the money for the charities they will decide.
“The cast has teamed up with @soundwaves_art and artist Tim Wakefield for a very special collection of artwork this holiday season,” the nonprofit — which is devoted to alleviating the suffering perpetuated by the addiction stigma and is the main vehicle in the fight against this stigma — wrote on Instagram.

Friends Artwork Turns Theme Song Soundwaves into Charity Prints
“Tim literally changed the soundwaves of the Friends theme song into these lovely artworks, each one a different character from Friends, and each actor signed the limited edition of the artworks that they have done by themselves,” the caption was explaining.
Along with the Perry’s estate, some of the prints will also carry the official signature of the late actor as a part of a limited number.
The 17 Again star was discovered dead at his residence in Los Angeles in the month of October 2023. The cause of death by drowning was ruled as an accident, and the ketamine’s acute effects were considered the reason for the drowning, according to the autopsy report.
Perry, who was ill with alcoholism and opioid addiction, had these struggles openly before his death.
Jennifer Aniston Reflects on Losing Matthew Perry
During a recent Elle interview, Jennifer Aniston, 56, revealed that the news of Matthew Perry’s passing was “alarming and shocking, yet not shocking.”
She elaborated, “We used to say, ‘I hope I never get that phone call.'” She went on to say that they miss him very much and that he is missed by everyone. “He was a bright person and a great artist, he was loved deeply and I think he wanted happiness more than anything. I feel sad that he didn’t really get it because he was definitely the one who deserved it,” Aniston added.

Friends Cast’s Emotional Tribute to Matthew Perry
The Friends cast got together to communicate their sorrow to PEOPLE in a statement shortly after Perry’s death.
“The five of us – Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston – write: “We are all so terribly bereaved by the passing of Matthew.” “We were not only the cast of a show. We are a family. We want to say so much, but at this moment we will just take a time to mourn and to try to understand this death which is beyond our comprehension.”
“”We will say more when and if we can,” the message went on. “Here and now, we are sending our thoughts and love to Matty’s family and friends and to all the people who loved him and are spread all over the world.”
