Lifestyle Changes Which Will Are Guaranteed To Make You Feel Better

Depressed, anxious, and stressed seem to be the catchphrase of the modern 21st century. Every working man and woman in their hustling years is either burnout, has a money problem or doesn’t have enough time to do everything.

This dissatisfaction with life is probably one of the leading causes behind the insiviusla’s never-ending stress.

However, we cannot always have the defeatist mentality to blame everything on our environment. Sometimes we have to take full control of our own environment and make some changes here and there to ensure our happiness.

It is not about being hopelessly optimistic but having the resilience to deal with everything. That will only happen when you have a calm mind and a mindful (being at present) thought process.

In this excerpt below, we will discuss some lifestyle choices that have helped everyone to lead a better life in their 20s and 30s while taking some wisdom to their 40s and beyond.

Plus, if you are tired of reading through cliched articles, do not worry. We will not mention “Waking up at 4 in the morning” as one of the lifestyle choices. That thought itself could cause depression!

Lifestyle Changes Which Can Make You Feel Better

Here are some better lifestyle choices that can make you feel better in the long run. Allow you to lead a meaningful life where you do something productive for society and yourself every day.

Do not make your life an endless struggle until you wait for the end!

Embrace these qualities to have a high-quality life!

1. The 8-8-8 Rules

We all know the day has 24 hours, and we always complain about not having enough time for ourselves and our work because we do not know where each hour is going. Think of your time as money (tale as old as time!), and then start calculating where each hour goes.

A simple way to do so is by following the 8-8-8 rule!

Since it can be a little difficult to find where each hour goes if you look at it in a 24-hour pattern, start by dividing three of your most important tasks.

Your hustling hours, work, or studying.

Then comes when you give to yourself and your hobbies and take care of your body.

After which comes your sleep, probably the most important part to recharge for the following day.

Now divide all three into eight hours each. Yes, you do not have to be too strict about each hour. But, ensure the hours you give to each task; you are solely concentrated on that task.

Stop multitasking and task shifting. If you are working or studying (which also includes school) for eight hours of your day, do so with full focus. Then when you take the other eight for your relaxation and meals, do not think about work or manage both.

Lastly, never compromise on a seven-eight hour sleep every day. Anything less, and you might be awake, but your brain won’t be functioning the way you want it to.

Budgeting Each Penny

End of the month, and by a rule of thumb, you are broke!

However, does it have to be a rule? Why can’t you budget your money to save some for the future and also have enough to spend on necessities by the end of the month? Now, many might complain that when they are starting their career, they are not warm enough.

To which the answer is simple.

Maybe you are living beyond your means. First, jot down your necessities and the amount you require every month to lead a comfortable life. Then give yourself a budget for your luxury requirements; the rest goes for your savings.

Whenever you spend, note them down and find how much you are spending every day. It will get easier to budget when you know where each penny is going.

Once you start following this, you are much more likely to have the necessary amount to end your month comfortably, and aren’t we all happy when we do not have money problems?

Substances Won’t Bring Long Term Happiness

Drinking and waking with a hangover seems quite normal for a 20 or 30-something. Drinking yourself senseless in the face of any pain also seems like the unwritten rule for everything.

Then comes the legalization of cannabis in a few states and the trend of vaping (very easily replacing cigarettes of the 90s).

They do provide a dopamine rush when you are in the moment. Giving you a sense of false courage and that you can do everything.

But the worst part of these external influences is that it minimizes your will or capability to find happiness without these substances.

Having a sober life might not elate you now, but with time you will understand the beauty of finding your own happiness.

If, once in a while, you are missing the nostalgia of having one glass of wine before sleeping, why not try non-alcoholic chardonnay? They taste better than any wine; the non-alcoholic tonic will make you almost feel like an alcoholic chardonnay.

Plus, there is no chance of having a bad trip, crying, and wanting to call your ex. Ready for the best part? No hangover the next morning!

Choose Life!

It is high time you are letting the circumstances dictate what you should do and how you should feel. At the end of the day, happiness is a choice. Some choose to be happy, and some choose to complain all day about their life’s incompetencies.

Yes, understandably, life can be hard sometimes. We are not asking you to hold a fake smile on your face, but rather take control of the situation and find solutions.

Hopefully, these choices will help you choose life from now on!

Physical health, mental health, and financial health are the three things you need to take care of. Once that’s done, everything will fall in line!
