‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Lacey Chabert on How a Prayer is Part of Her Morning Routine with a “Million Kisses” for Her Daughter ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌(Exclusive)

Lacey‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Chabert is her 43rd Hallmark Christmas movie, cherishing family moments

With her 43rd Hallmark movie, She’s Making a List, debuting Dec. 6 on the Hallmark channel and Dec. 7 on Hallmark+, Lacey Chabert is definitely carrying her crown of the Queen of Christmas. The actress from Mean Girls, who also launched her own holiday card and decor collection, shares that she loves the fact that her movies are made for the whole family and that she can watch them with her 9-year-old daughter, Julia.
“Working on things my daughter can enjoy makes me very happy,” Chabert told PEOPLE. “She’s still at an age when she loves to cuddle and it’s the best thing. That’s our favorite thing to do: cuddle on the couch, watch a good movie, and make snacks together.”
The kid is really into her mom’s on-screen wardrobe. “She loves when I wear gorgeous dresses in the movies because she says in real life I only wear black leggings,” laughed Chabert. “She’s not totally wrong!”
For PEOPLE’s My Good Morning series, Chabert also revealed her relaxed family morning ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌routine.

Lacey‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Chabert’s warm morning ritual with coffee, pancakes, and school lunches

Lacey Chabert would not let the opportunity of making coffee slip out of her hand right after waking up. Then she would certainly enjoy the coffee in bed from her favorite Minnie Mouse mug that she bought at Disneyland. A quick prayer is what she often says to set a good tone before the true morning routine comes.
For her 9-year-old daughter Julia, Lacey makes breakfast. It could be blueberry pancakes with whipped cream or cereal or yogurt, depending on the time of the day.
Chabert and her husband, businessman David Nehdar, are the two people responsible for preparing school lunches. Even though she attempted to plan a menu in order to avoid repeating meals, it only lasted two weeks. At present, she mostly prepares pasta, sandwiches, or quesadillas for Julia’s ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌lunch.

Lacey‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Chabert’s daughter Julia and their “yes” days that are special treats

TV is an absolute no for Lacey Chabert and her daughter Julia in the mornings. They instead engage in planning the day. Lacey occasionally offers Julia a “yes” day as a special treat after school letting her decide what they would do in the afternoon. It is a fun tradition that they both look forward to.
Julia who is presently in third grade has become very independent and is able to get dressed for school on her own. While Lacey puts on her regular black leggings or an athletic bottom like the one she is currently wearing from Old Navy. Then they get into the car and leave for ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌school.

Lacey‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Chabert’s school drop-off routine: music, kisses, and life lessons

The 10-minute drive to the school Lacey Chabert has with her daughter Julia is all about music choice, writes the actress. Last week the sounds could have been ABBA, Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” or the Sing 2 soundtrack, hence the music Lacey Chabert and Julia listen to on their way to school is a sure shot for a fun day.
Prior to the drop-off, Chabert lavishes Julia with “a million kisses on her little cheeks and a big squeeze.” She tells her how proud she is and how much she loves her, saying, “I love you the most, and the least important thing in the world is not grades — obviously do your best — but it’s being kind to ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌people.”

Lacey‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Chabert’s post drop-off routine walks, family calls, and self-care

Once the school drop-off is done, Lacey Chabert loves to go for a long walk. She either listens to music or talks her sister or mom on the phone. Being outdoors is very uplifting for her and she considers it her “me time” and solo moment.
Afterward, she prepares for the day and if we are to look at her typical routine it is a shower in the morning and a soothing bath at night. She is extremely fond of Philosophy’s Fresh Cream & Mint shower gel, which makes her skin silky and imparts a nice ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌fragrance.

Lacey‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Chabert’s skincare and quick beauty routine

Lacey Chabert is a big fan of Aloisia Deep Hydration Aloe Gel Mist because it’s a cool, refreshing, and hydrating treatment that revives her skin.
She is very cautious with the use of sunscreen as a result of the lesson she got from her teenage years when she used tanning beds. Currently, she doesn’t forget the application of sunscreen on her face and is a fan of the product iS Clinical Extreme Protect SPF 30.
Chabert is equally as enthusiastic about Ogee Complexion Perfecting Tinted Serum, a moisturising, radiant product with a light finish that she can wear alone or under makeup.
Before, the process of getting ready was going to take her an hour and a half with blow-drying, curling, and full makeup but motherhood has given her the opportunity to simplify her routine to about seven minutes—a proof of what moms are capable ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌of!

Lacey‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Chabert follows a loosely structured morning routine and practices self-kindness

Lacey Chabert revealed that she used to have a very strict morning routine which would typically begin with a workout class and a day that was tightly planned. At present, she opts for a less strict routine that focuses on what matters most.
She said, “I don’t think it is a very good way to start my day when I wake up and the first thing that comes to my mind is the hundred things on my to-do list.” Although she admits to sometimes being in an overwhelmed state, she believes that doing the work one at a time and being merciful to herself results in much better ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌days.
