‘Nature always has its way of healing and comforting irrespective of how we feel at the moment. So, set a side some time and connect with nature wherever you are,’ the Duchess of Cambridge suggested in a voice-over of the video showing quiet, snow-covered landscapes. ‘Right at the point where the water of the stream slows down just enough for us to see our own image reflected, to find the most intimate parts of our being, together with the murmurs and the heartbeat of every living creature.’

Kate’s healing theme here is consistent with her Christmas-time introspection in which she expressed gratitude for being able to overcome challenges through hope after reflecting on the past year. During the Royal Carols: Together at Christmas ITV special, she remarked, “When one’s life and surroundings can be really upsetting or even uncertain – at one’s very core – the Christmastime season is a great time to be reminded of the incredible power we have within us when we just dare to reach out to each other with generosity of heart, understanding and hope.”

These little acts of kindness, though they might appear insignificant, are actually the threads that make up the wonderful fabric of life to which we are all connected,”
