The NBA season’s wedding festivities were once again picking up steam as Karl-Anthony Towns publicly showed that he and his girlfriend, Jordyn Woods, were really ready to get married through a joint statement.
In fact, Towns was already engaged to Woods back in fall 2021, just after proposing in Chicago when the young NBA player decided to go for it and take the big plunge with Woods, a professional singer known from her modeling work as well, after having been together for only eight months.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods Get Married
The marriage took place over the Weekend in Malibu on August 15, 2026, when the couple was photographed kissing one another in a Malibu wedding set against the sea on a covered arch with flowers.
Woods, known as one of the stars who was in Drake’s Instagram comment controversy, shared on Instagram: “After falling asleep at our last kiss…I woke to this dream being real; I thought it was a nightmare…but it was my husband! So, to those doubting it was a dream and a fantasy, my answer is, ‘No, this was the real deal…with my husband.'”
Karl Anthony Towns’ fellow Knicks guys were a sight for sore eyes to see him, their teammate, add yet another ring to his collection this summer.
Photos of the stars from the wedding include OG Anunoby, Jose Alvarado, Jalen and his wife, Ali Brunson, Josh and his wife, Shannon Hart, Deuce McBride, and former teammate Trey Jemison.
New York Knicks superfans Ben Stiller and Timothée Chalamet were also at the game, where they were courtside for the Finals.
In one of Chalamet’s Instagram posts from the month of May, fans couldn’t help but celebrate as the star posted a picture of his friend Karl-Anthony whispering in his ear following New York’s 137-98 victory over Philly!
Jordyn’s longtime friend Kylie Jenner was also in the wedding for her special day. She was joined by other famous faces, including Justin and Hailey Bieber, Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor, Teyana Taylor, Michael B. Jordan, Jada Pinkett Smith, her children Jaden and Willow, and Keegan-Michael Key.

Jordyn Woods Stuns in Her Wedding Dress
The bride’s look was a stylish, strapless wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline and an exquisite fitted bodice flowing into a drapey, floor-length sheer gown.
Page Six managed to snap pictures of her, and besides that, Jordyn also wore a Hollywood vintage look in the form of a lace-knit neckscarf.
Her dress matched up her whole outfit. The highlight of her hair was the lace-trimmed veil, glittering earrings on her earlobes, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers consisting of trailing calla lilies.
Karl-Anthony looked very stylish in a black suit he was wearing. The bride’s beautiful ensemble matched up with a black dress code that the rest of the attending party, even the famous ones, chose to follow with black outfits.
Nevertheless, the black color theme of dresses didn’t quite manage to charm the celebrity attendees. Teyana Taylor was spotted wearing a hoodie belonging to one of the “Married in 5” collections at the after-party, while handing out the Fanatics gift bags.
The “Married in 5” item, in fact, was a light-hearted tribute to the Knicks’ Game 5 win in the NBA Finals against the Spurs.
While wedding photos circulate on the web, Woods’ family friend and business associate, Adam Weitsman, revealed a little bit more of these pictures on Insta. The image caption stated, “Came to California to celebrate and attend the wedding of the best couple I know @karltowns and @jordynwoods.”
The location was also tagged as Malibu, where he and his boyfriend and their mother, Elizabeth, could be seen together in the image.
Karl-Anthony and Woods’ Love Story
Towns and Woods went from best friends to boyfriends in the year 2020. After about a year in a relationship, Jordyn shared that being in a relationship with a best friend is “kind of cool dating you’re bestfriend.”
“We know each other’s hearts; we know each other’s good days and bad days, and we’ve been through a lot of bad days,” Woods said in her Instagram series, Regular-ish.
Furthermore, the couple opened up to the press about going through personal challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Towns had lost his mother, Jacqueline, to the illness just three years after Woods had lost her father, Josh, to an aggressive form of cancer.
“My woman has held me down more than the world knows,” Towns wrote in 2021.
Woods became a regular courtside date for Towns’s NBA games, which continued even when he joined the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The two stars have always been a great source of comfort to each other through the ups and downs of life. Woods explained that their friendship and mutual trust were the solid base that supported their relationship.
“Friendship and trust,” Woods told PEOPLE in November 2023. “We were really good friends before we started dating, and COVID gave us that free time in our life to really get to know each other, because a lot of people don’t really get to know each other and they go into this relationship.”
“So, we’ve been through a lot together. We’ve seen each other in all different ways, times, phases, so I think we have a very strong foundation.”
Karl-Anthony Towns Proposes to Jordyn Woods
It was in the late part of the year 2025 when the couple announced their engagement to the world. Towns proposed to Jordyn using a dazzling ring and background, but one thing turned out to be a complete coincidence.
Although the pair made their engagement public on Christmas Day 2025, Karl-Anthony surprised Jordyn on Christmas Eve at Overstory, a cocktail bar in New York City, with a marriage proposal.
The couple’s friends and family who are close to both gathered for the special moment as Towns got down on one knee and proposed to Woods.
Woods agreed, and the newly engaged couple shared an image of the wedding ring, a very unique emerald-cut diamond ring, on a romantic rooftop with the caption “Marry Christmas 🎄❤️💍,” which quickly got a million likes on social networks.
But surprisingly to many, Jordyn told her story that her boyfriend asked her to marry him that same evening her father asked her mother! “In a way, we still got to honor his memory,” said Woods.
The stunning engagement ring had a unique feature as well; Towns had incorporated his and Woods’ parents’ birthstones into the wedding ring band.
Jordyn Woods was emotional as she described it as symbolic of their families coming together. The two lovers got married eight months later.
