Jesy Nelson Drops a Hint About the Potential of a Little Mix Reunion Six Years After the Split
Jesy Nelson has dropped a hint that a Little Mix reunion might be on the cards, six years after the group’s split that was all over the media. The singer who was part of the band for nine years decided to leave the group following their victory in The X Factor competition in 2011 and subsequent fame, and the fallout was quite public.
When she left, it was reported that the other band members found out through the lawyers and that they were even blocked on social media. Jesy, in her new series for Prime Video, is going to reveal her side of the story regarding the departure.
Jesy talked about the idea of reuniting with the group: “They have mended a part of me that I thought was beyond repair. Now that we’re all mums, I’m sure I can’t speak for them but I’d like to think that we probably see things quite differently now.”
Jesy Nelson Reflects on her Time in Little Mix and Leaves Door Open for Reunion
Jesy Nelson gave the impression that she might get back together with her ex-bandmates at some point when she told The Sun, “I think you do, just as you get older anyway, but you know, I suppose, never say never. I have so much love for them and always will. So never say never [to a reunion].”
Jesy admitted that being questioned about her sudden departure has been very hard on her, but at the same time, she stressed that she has “never spoken in a terrible way” about her time in the band. On the contrary, she mentioned that shooting her new series felt like a good thing.
“It’s always been hard for me when people ask questions regarding Little Mix, but one thing that really got me when I was filming the series was that I actually got to reflect on the most amazing times I had in the band,” she said.
Jesy Nelson Opens Up About Little Mix “Sisterhood” and Personal Struggles
Jesy Nelson reminisced on her relationship with her Little Mix band mates and said that the group was more of a family than just workmates. “I have never had a bad word to say about Little Mix,” she revealed. “Even though there were times when my mental health was bad and being in the band affected me negatively, our sisterhood, my relationship with them and the years I spent with them were lovely.” She mentioned they were “like sisters” and “best friends”.
Jesy, who is currently on her own road, has just talked about ending her engagement with Zion Foster, and exposing the difficulties of co-parenting when their children were diagnosed with a health issue. Talking to the Mail, she referred to the devastating impact of the news.
“When the girls were diagnosed, it felt to me as if my whole world had collapsed,” she confessed. Looking back at when the children were born prematurely, she said, “I really believed that once I took them home, I got out of the trenches… I thought, thank God we’re out of it and I can finally enjoy being a mother. But then this happened, and I was like, what is my life?”
