Lopez replied by talking about her long track record of being under the public eye. “I don’t know why but since day one, I have been a lightning rod for both good and bad things,” she said. She also tried to explain how hard it is to be misunderstood when you are a public figure and pointed out that people’s opinions change all the time. “You think, ‘These people don’t get me. They don’t see me. They don’t understand me.’ Then all of a sudden they do. And then they don’t ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌again.”

They wouldn’t pick me if I weren’t good at what I do,’” she explained.” She mentioned that it has always been crucial for her to affirm herself and be grounded.
Lopez thanked her mom and dad for building her strong character and self-esteem even when she was just a kid.
Recalling Sydney Sweeney’s tweet about shutting out the unnecessary noise, Lopez said that disregarding the negative things allows her to end her day calmly. “So, I can go to sleep and think, ‘I really did good today, I was a good person, I was nice, I worked hard, I’m a good mother,’” said Lopez who is a mom to 17-year-old twins Max and Emme.” “This is what has always helped me to go ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌through.”

Jennifer Lopez talked about how fame has both good and bad aspects to it and said that it has been difficult for her to keep her personal life intact. “I love what I do and I love my fans. But, ultimately, there are tradeoffs in certain aspects,” she explained. “And that tradeoff is basically that you need to know how to handle your personal life and at times, my personal life has hurt because of that.”
Jennifer also mentioned that she needed time and self-awareness to figure things out. “For me, I’ve actually figured it out — but it took time. I kept on telling myself, ‘No, I can do this. I can be like this.’ But now, I’ve realized that no, you need to change. You need to change your behavior if you want to be in a successful relationship and that was a part of ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌it.”
